After four rounds of heads-up matches, only 16 players remain from a starting field of 136 entrants in Event #40: $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship. Bracelet winners Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Sam Stein and Taylor Paur all in the hunt, as are a few heads-up specialists like Tommy Chen and Jason Koon, who have made deep runs in heads-up events in the past. Ankush Mandavia has also had major success in heads-up tournaments on the virtual felt.

Of the remaining 16 players, all but one were fortunate enough to only play three matches. Serkan Kurnaz was the only one to not receive a first-round bye, therefore having to play four matches.

Chidwick turned over for a missed combo draw, but he had far less outs than he may have hoped since Kurnaz held for a turned boat.
Sylvain Loosli called off for his last 80,000 or so when Daniel Negreanu put him all in from the button. Negreanu had against , and the board came to give Negreanu two pair to win the match.
Jason Koon check-called 32,000 from Michael Ferrell with the board reading . On the river, Koon put Ferrell all in for his last 70,000 or so, and Ferrell thought for about a minute before calling it off.
"Good game," Koon said, flipping and knowing he couldn't be behind if Ferrell took that much time. Sure enough, Ferrell showed him for top pair before he got up to leave.
Max Silver put Branden Hampton all in before the flop for his last 40,000 or so, and Hampton called it off with . Unfortunately for him, Silver held for a dominating position, and the flop, turn, and river brought Hampton no salvation.
Joe Cada check-shoved over a bet from Sam Trickett after a flop, and Trickett snap-called with . Cada slowly revealed , and he couldn't find another four on the turn or river, exiting late in the third round.
Daniel Negreanu raised to 6,000 on the button and Brice Lin three-bet shoved for about 30,000. Negreanu called with and held up against Lin's to advance to the Round of 32 for a match against Sylvain Loosli.
