Matt Stout Leads Final 15 After Day 2 Completion

Play has ended for the night on Day 2 of Event #31: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em at the 45th annual World Series of Poker. Only 15 remain, all with their sights set on the WSOP gold bracelet and $418,435 in first-place prize money.
Matt Stout will take the chip lead into Day 3, bagging up 1,130,000, after 10 levels of play. Also among the top stacks are Aleksandr Gofman (951,000), Brett Shaffer (812,000), and Eric Spitzer (674,000).
Stout’s biggest hand came on the last hand of the night. With time on the tournament clock at zero, Alessandro Bardaro got his stack all in with Matt Stout on a flop of

Bardaro's overpair needed to connect with another jack to survive the hand and the night, but Stout's set held up through the turn and river of 
. Stout had eliminated Bardaro in 16th place and raked in a massive pot, just under 1,000,000 chips.
The day began with 187 hopefuls, and with 171 making the money, we were only 16 eliminations away. It did not take long for the bubble to burst. Just before the end of the first level, Douglas Stewart got cracked and he became the bubble boy.
On the second hand of hand-for-hand play, Seth Berger opened to 2,500 from mid-position, Stewart three-bet to 6,500 in the cutoff, Mario Coria called from the big blind, and Berger made the call as well.
The flop was dealt 
, Coria and Berger checked, and Stewart bet 12,000. Coria folded, Berger raised to 30,000, enough to put Stewart all in, and Stewart made the call putting himself at risk.

The bust outs came quick and heavy once the players were in the money. Jeffrey Finkelstein watched on from the big blind and saw Matt Stout make it 27,000 to go from the button. The small blind ducked out of the way, Finkelstein moved all-in for around 110,000 and Stout made a reluctant call.
