Shak's Stack

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Dan Shak's stack is headed south after he was forced out of two pots following the break.

First, he made it 20,000 on the button following a Keven Stammen 8,500 open, but folded on the {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop when Stammen led out for 27,000.

Then, he flatted a Michel Abecassis 8,000 opening raise and called bets of 8,500 on the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop and 13,500 on the {6-Spades} turn. In the end, Shak turtled on the {2-Diamonds} river after Abecassis made it 24,500.

Rocco Rocked

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Michael Rocco came into play just about 50,000 chips shy of start of-day chip leader Tony Ruberto and in the hunt.

His dreams have now been dashed as he slid down the counts all day and finally got it in with {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} against the aforementioned Ruberto's {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. A seven on the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop gave Ruberto a solid lead and Rocco was knocked out after the {10-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river.

The Tension Mounts

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
JC Tran.
JC Tran.

A few tense moments just played out on the felt between Antonio Esfandiari and JC Tran.

It all started with a 6,400 open from Esfandiari before things got really quiet. Tran moved it up to 15,500 and after a good minute or two in the tank, Esfandiari emerged with a call. The flop came down {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and after a check from Esfandiari, Tran bet out 13,200.

It took less than a minute for Esfandiari to make it 21,800 more and the next thing you knew it was a race to get all the chips in the middle as it was potted and re-potted until both players had it all in.

Tran turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Esfandiari was on {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and after the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} run out, they took their stacks back and chopped up the rest.

Buddiga Back Up

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Pratyush Buddiga just knocked out Anthony Zinno and that puts him right back up near the top of the counts. Buddiga raised before the flop and was called by Chino Rheem, Richard Lyndaker and Zinno in the big blind.

The flop brought out {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and the action was checked to Lyndaker who bet 8,000. Zinno check-raised all in for about 50,000 chips and Buddiga moved all in over the top. Rheem and Lyndaker folded and the showdown went as following.

Buddiga: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Zinno: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}, {9-Clubs} and Buddiga raked in this pot to knock Zinno out.
