Tom Schneider Eliminated in 8th Place ($23,833)

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider

Omaha Hi-Low

Tom Schneider was already down to 10,000 and one big bet earlier today before making a comeback. After a recent hand he was back to the short stack grind again and just now min raised from middle position. The action folded to Erik Seidel in the big blind and he asked how much Schneider had behind before just making the call.

On the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Spades} flop, Schneider got his remaining 22,000 in and Seidel called.

Seidel: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Schneider: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The short stack was merely ahead with bottom pair but needed to dodge a lot of cards to stay alive. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Seidel made his straight and Schneider now needed a low card to chop the pot. It wasn't meant to be with the {Q-Diamonds} and Schneider has been eliminated in eighth place.

Mike Leah Eliminated in 7th Place ($31,115)

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Leah - 7th Place
Mike Leah - 7th Place

Omaha Hi-Low

Mike Leah opened with a raise to 50,000 from under the gun and cleared the field all the way around t John Kabbaj, who opted to defend from the big blind. The {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop saw Kabbaj check-call a bet of 25,000 and then check the {Q-Diamonds} turn. Leah bet 50,000, Kabbaj check-raised to 100,000, and Leah thought for a long time before three-betting to 150,000, leaving himself just 15,000 back. Kabbaj four-bet and it went in.

Leah: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Kabbaj: {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Kabbaj had a full house, which meant Leah would need either an ace or qualifying low on the river to stay alive. The {5-Spades} peeled off, and Leah initially thought the low card did it. Unfortunately for him it didn't as it double paired the board.

Leah will take home $31,115 for his seventh-place finish.

Stud Orbit Completed

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

There was no major action at all in the stud hi-low orbit, the most exciting thing to happen was a completion and raise to 50,000 but a bet on fourth won the pot. All other hands only got to third.

Seidel Losing Some Chips

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Erik Seidel defended his big blind in a three-way pot with Joe Tehan and Christopher McHugh to see the {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. All three players checked and the {Q-Spades} turn saw McHugh bet 50,000. Seidel raised to 100,000 and Tehan folded, McHugh called.

The {3-Diamonds} showed up on the river and Seidel check-called 50,000. He got shown {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and mucked.

One hand later he flopped top pair and spiked a 8-7 low against a set of jacks to chop the pot.

On the {5-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, Tehan check-called 25,000 and then folded the {8-Spades} turn when McHugh bet 50,000. One hand later Tehan recovered some losses versus Erik Seidel and McHugh has extended his lead.

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Stud Hi-Low

John Kabbaj had {7-Clubs}{K-Clubs} showing and bet into Erik Seidel and Christopher McHugh. They both called the bets until sixth, Seidel then elected to fold. McHugh called and got shown a flush and low.

Kabbaj: {7-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Seidel: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} / fold

Erik Seidel Eliminated in 6th Place ($41,230)

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Erik Seidel is eliminated in 6th place
Erik Seidel is eliminated in 6th place

Stud Hi-Low

Erik Seidel began the day as chip leader, but his quest for his ninth World Series of Poker gold bracelet just came to an end in sixth place.

It happened when Thomas "Thunder" Keller completed with the {A-Hearts} and Seidel raised to 50,000 with the {7-Hearts}. Keller three-bet to 75,000, Seidel called, and it was off to fourth street. Keller bet, Seidel called, and then Keller bet 50,000 on fifth. Seidel only had 28,000 back, and he seemed extremely hesitant to put it in. That said, he still did.

Seidel: {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} / {3-Spades}
Keller: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} / {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {9-Spades}

It was a bad spot for Seidel as his sevens were dominated by the aces and tens of Keller. Seidel had running straight and low options, but the {5-Spades} on sixth left him looking for either a five or seven on seventh street. That didn't happen though and he'll have to settled for sixth place and $41,230.

Hastoo And Keller Take One Down

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Terrence Hastoo raised to 50,000 and Joe Tehan made the call to see the {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} flop. Tehan check-called 25,000 and then both checked the {K-Hearts} turn. After the {K-Spades} river, Tehan checked once more and called off the 50,000 by Hastoo to muck when shown {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Thomas Keller raised to 50,000 and Tehan called, history repeated after the {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop when he check-called 25,000. The {5-Hearts} turn was checked through and this time Tehan check-folded after the {2-Diamonds} river.
