Daniel Negreanu hadn't played a hand for the first 25 minutes of the day, but piped up with, "I've got good cards! Guys, I've got good cards!" before playing the following hand and taking a pot off of Jason Mercier.
Mercier: (X-X) / / (X)
Negreanu: (X-X) / / (X)
After announcing that he had good cards, Negreanu completed the bet on third street. Mercier was the only caller.
"Queen!" yelled out Negreanu, pointing out what he wanted to dealer to give Mercier. "Aha! I'm pretty good at that," he excitedly said when he saw Mercier pick up a queen. Negreanu landed a king, though, and both players checked.
On fifth street, Mercier checked, Negreanu bet, and Mercier called. Then on sixth, Mercier led with a bet, and Negreanu called. On seventh, Mercier checked, and Negreanu bet.
"Fifty-fifity on the end... so brutal," Mercier said before he called with a grimace on his face after a few moments.
"Nine," said Negreanu, showing for a nine-eight low.
"No good," responded Mercier, but he was joking and didn't show his hand.
After Mercier mucked his hand and Negreanu was pushed the pot, about half a minute passed by and then Mercier said, "I'm trying to figure out how I could've won that hand. I don't think I could've," while looking towards the sky as though he was searching for answers.
"Nope," responded Negreanu.
"I guess I could've gone all in on third street, then you might've folded," joked Mercier.
"Yeah, that would've worked," laughed Negreanu.

Tom Schneider and his quest for a fifth WSOP bracelet - and his first in Razz - will have to wait another day as he was recently eliminated.
As our PokerNews reporter ventured over to the table as Schneider was leaving, Eric Rodawig was scooping the pot to move to roughly 90,000 in chips.

Over the years we've quoted many players during PokerNews live updates, but there haven't been many that made us laugh this much.
After Allen Kessler just managed to triple up, which happened right in front of our desk, none other than Doyle Brunson turned to us and yelled, "Hey PokerNews! Allen Kessler tripled up!"
The entire table started laughing, and it's safe to say we had a bit of a chuckle over it as well.
Kessler started the day with just a few thousand chips, and on the second hand of play he ended up all in for his tournament. Both Brunson and Christopher Wallace had called Kessler's all in and the hand was checked down to sixth street.
"PokerNews, I'm all in!" Kessler yelled.
"EPSN!" Elezra yelled, as he looked around the room for someone to capture Kessler's big moment, but to no avail.
With every card the dealer turned over Kessler's smile grew as his the strength of his hand grew. On sixth Brunson bet and that was enough to get Wallace to fold.
Kessler: (X-X) / / (X)
Brunson: (X-X) / / (X)
Wallace: (X-X) / / fold
Kessler turned over the for his hole cards and he had a lock on this hand against Brunson's . Kessler raked in this very important pot, but he's not out of danger just yet.
