Second $10K Championship Event of the Series Kicks Off!

Who will wear the next gold bracelet?
Who will wear the next gold bracelet?

Welcome to our ongoing coverage of the 2014 World Series of Poker! While much of the day's excitement is placed on those returning for Day 2 of the $1,500 Millionaire Maker event and Phil Hellmuth going for his 14th WSOP bracelet in Event #7: $1,500 Seven Card Razz, a new $10,000 Championship event will begin today in the Amazon Room.

Event #10: $10,000 Limit Omaha Hi-Low Championship is set to begin at 4 p.m. local time today. As will be the trend with all of the $10,000 Championship events, the field will be stacked to the brim with notable names and faces.

Last year's WSOP had two Limit Omaha Hi-Low events on its schedule. The first was a $1,500 buy-in that was won by Canadian Calen McNeil. McNeil not only won his first WSOP gold bracelet, but also over $277,000 in first-place prize money. McNeil will surely be on the felt today to compete in a game where he's already proven himself as a top competitor. Last year also had a $5,000 buy-in event that occurred a bit later in the series. Danny Fuhs rose to the top of that event, also winning just over $277,000. Fuhs bested Christopher George in heads up play to take down the title.

Play kicks off at 4 p.m. and the entrants will play a full ten levels with no dinner break. A 15-minute break will be taken every two hours. As always, be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for all of the latest as this prestigious event takes flight!
