Drinan Eliminated

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Connor Drinan and Simeon Naydenov got their chips in the middle pre-flop. Drinan had {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Naydenov turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. It was a coin-flip situation, but when the flop fell {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Naydenov took a big lead, and Drinan would need either an 8 or running straight cards. He received neither on the turn and river, and has been eliminated from the tournament. Naydenov will now play Mandeep Narang heads-up to see who will advance from their table.

Cantu Doubles Up Silverman

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the board reading {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} Brandon Cantu bet 18,000. Steven Silverman reraised to 48,000. This put Cantu into the tank. After about two minutes of thinking, Cantu finally moved all in. Silverman instantly called and showed {J-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a turned straight.

Cantu angrily turned over his {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for two pair.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Cantu was forced to ship over chips to Silverman.

"Jesus Christ," Cantu said after the hand as the dealer was counting out stacks.

Ryan Hughes Advances With Ace High Call

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On a board reading {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} Ryan Hughes bet 17,000 chips. He was called by Zachary Hall who had the button.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and this time Hughes checked. Hall bet 14,500 and Hughes called.

On the {K-Diamonds} river, Hughes checked again. Hall moved all in for just around 80,000 chips, and after just a few beats, Hughes made the call. Hall showed {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs} for queen high, but Hughes showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for ace high.

After that big call, Hughes will move on to the final table tomorrow while Hall will collect a mincash for his efforts.

Cantu Taking Control

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Brandon Cantu just came out on top of a pre-flop raising war with Steven Silverman. Silverman limped from the button, matching the 3,000 big blind, and Cantu raised to 12,000. Silverman then re-raised to 26,000. After thinking for a few moments, Cantu 4-bet to 47,000. Silverman tanked for a minute, but decided to fold, much to the disappointment of a few railbirds who thought an all-in confrontation was developing. Cantu now enjoys a sizable chip lead, 290,000 to 130,000.
