Liebert Long Gone

Nível 13

Pot-Limit Omaha

We arrived at the table just in time to see Kathy Liebert cheering for a card she needed to stay alive in the tournament. The board read {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} when we got to the table and we saw Liebert with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{x-}{x-}.

Liebert's opponent held {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} for the nut flush and Liebert was chanting "Seven, deuce, queen!" heading to the river.

Unfortunately it was not meant to be, though,a s the {A-Spades} peeled off on the river and Lieber was unable to best the flush. She quickly exited the tournament area.

Mueller Calls Hand, Bet

Nível 12

Omaha Eight or Better

We found Greg Mueller, under the gun, contemplating a river raise from his opponent on a {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts} board.

"Did you make three aces on the end?" Mueller asked. "It would be pretty hard for you to make three aces since I have an ace."

Finally, Mueller called, and sure enough, his opponent showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for three aces. Mueller tossed his cards to the dealer.

Williams Shown Surprising Flush

Nível 12

Stud

David Williams called his opponent, who had a paired board, on every street.

Williams: {x-Diamonds}{x-Diamonds}{x-Diamonds}/{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}/{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Williams turned over a diamond flush, but it was inferior to his opponent's ace-high flush. He leaned in for a closer look at his opponent's cards.

"Your up-card was the nine of hearts?" he asked. "What the f*** was going on there?"

Williams busted shortly thereafter in another Stud hand.

Bonomo Low on Chips

Nível 12

No-Limit Hold'em

Justin Bonomo opened to 1,200 from the cutoff. The big blind asked for an approximate count, then reraised to 3,200. Bonomo made the call.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Bonomo folded to his opponent's continuation-bet.

Meanwhile, we are down to 80 players, and they've condensed to ten tables.
