Waxman Walks into a Set

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We missed the exact preflop action but Waxman went heads-up against the player we've seen him battle it out with before. Waxman (mid-position) checked behind when his opponent (under-the-gun) checked on {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The turn brought out the {10-Spades} and Waman's opponent bet 1,050. Waxman made the call and after some deliberation he also called the 2,275 river bet on the {9-Spades}. Waxman had to muck his hand though when he was shown {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a flopped set.

Collins Doubles Up

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We came up on the action with 3 players to a flop of {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Phil Collins, in the big bling, checked and a middle position player led for 550. A player in late position folded and Collins went all in for 3,675. Collins turned over {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for bottom pair and a flush draw while his opponent held {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair.

The {q-Diamonds} turn gave Collins his flush and the {8-Spades} gave him the double up.

Dunst Gaining Some Back

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

A middle position player min-raised to 400 and the player from the hijack and Tony Dunst, the big blind, both came along.

After a flop of {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Dunst and the player from middle position checked. The hijack took the ooportunity to bet 450 and both players called.

Dunst led for 800 on the {9-Hearts} turn with only the player from middle position calling.

Dunst checked {6-Hearts} river and face a bet of 1,700. After counting out his chips and thinking it through, Dunst made the call turning over {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for top pair and which was enough to win the pot.

Rast is Good on Turn

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We caught up with Brian Rast in the small blind, who faced a 400 opening bet from a player in middle position. Rast re-raised to 1,100, and the big blind went all-in for less (about 600). The player in middle position called.

Flop:{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Rast bet out 800, and his opponent called. The turn brought the {a-Clubs}, and Rast made a 3/4 pot bet to 1,750. Both of his opponents mucked. As the short-stacked opponent made a rushed exit, the river came an insignificant {2-Diamonds}.

Rast showed the {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, giving him top 2-pair with a 13 out re-draw to a full house and flush, picking up a pot of around 3,000 and bringing his stack up to around 14,000.

On a {9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop we saw Joe Serock bet 875 in position. His opponent made the call after which both players checked the {4-Clubs} on the turn. The river brought out the {4-Diamonds} and Serock's opponent bet out 875. Serock thought for a second, and then announced his allin for 2,800 more. After some deliberation we saw the other player folding and Serock went on stacking chips.

Koon Keeps The Pressure On

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Jason Koon raised from the button to 450 and the big blind was the only caller.

The big blind checked the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop and Koon continued for 575. The big blind answered by raising to 1,350 and Koon called.

The big blind led for 1,900 on a {5-Hearts} turn, leaving about 3,000 behind, and again Koon called.

The big blind checked the {8-Spades} river to Koon who immediately went all in for around 10,000. The big blind tanked for a bit and in the end folded his hand.
