Break Time; Erlichman Sits at 120k, Tran, Bardah in the Mix
The Day 1a Main Event field is now on their second 20-minute break for the day.
Once play started for level two, Tomas Macnamara launched up the leader board courtesy of a cooler that saw him flop the nut flush against the second nut flush. Ronnie Bardah would also join Macnamar up on top of the leaderboard after doubling on the feature table with kings against jacks on a nine-high board. Bardah's good start so far is just a stepping stone that may see him capture his fourth consecutive Main Event cash.
Matt Greenwood and Larry Wright would also see themselves sit high, but it would be Kenny Tran and his chip stack making the most noise after he hit a one-outer against Hans Winzeler. Winzeler held against Tran's , and when the money went in on a flop Tran would spike the case six on the river to soar to 70,000 as Winzeler was left with roughly 9,000.
However it would Gal Erlichman heading to break as the chip leader after eliminating Soi Nguyen with against Nguyen's . That chip lead amounted to roughly 118,000 and saw him sitting very comfortable as players were now able to enjoy a break full of bad beat stories, missed bets and close calls.
