Richey Doubles

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

A very short-stacked Brett Richey moved all in for 440,000 on the button, Nicolas Le Floch called in the big blind, and the hands were opened.

Richey: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Le Floch: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Richey added eight more outs when the flop fell {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and could also make Broadway if the turn and river came perfect-perfect. The {8-Hearts} on the turn was a big red brick for Richey, leaving him one card away from elimination, but the {7-Clubs} spiked on the river to give him a flush.

Richey doubled to 945,000 chips, and is still short, while Le Floch is still well above average with 5.23 million.

Lunkin Doubles Through Dattani

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Vitaly Lunkin open-raised all in from under the gun for his last 860,000, and it folded around to Umang Dattani in the big blind. Dattani checked his cards, and as he did he actually showed them to Lunkin and the floor ended up being called over as a result.

Dattani explained what he'd done to the floorperson, noting how since he was alone with Lunkin in the hand he was letting Lunkin sweat his hand, but he understood and was ready to accept whatever penalty may come. Indeed, as was explained, Dattani earned a one-round penalty — eight hands, as there is an empty seat at their table — starting with the next hand.

Dattani paused just a moment longer, then said he was calling and tabled his {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Lunkin turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, and the pair shook hands prior to the delivery of the community cards.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Lunkin was still behind, but the {J-Spades} fell on fourth street to pair the Russian's hand. The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Lunkin doubled up as Dattani stepped away for the next short while.

David Benefield (Day 5)
David Benefield (Day 5)

David Benefield raised in the cutoff, Sami Rustom defended his big blind, and both players checked on a flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, Rustom led out for 175,000, and Benefield called.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board, Rustom fired out another 450,000, and Benefield tank-called. Ruston showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for queen-high, which Benefield had beat with {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} for ace-high.

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jorn Walthaus raised to 100,000 from middle position, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko called from his left. Carlos Mortensen came along in the big blind. Walthaus bet 185,000, and Timoshenko called after some thought.

Another Set of Kings for Sergio

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After making a set of kings earlier, Sergio Castelluccio was all in and at risk on the turn of a {k-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board for 2.78 million holding {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. His opponent, James Alexander, held {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of aces and a club flush draw.

The {9-Hearts} bricked off on the river, and the Italian doubled once again, and now sits with 5.9 million chips. Alexander fell to 1.7 million.

Steven Watts Eliminated in 59th Place ($123,597)

Steven Watts - 59th Place
Steven Watts - 59th Place

Nicolas Le Floch opened with a raise to 105,000 from late position, then Steven Watts reraised all in from the cutoff seat with his last 895,000. Next to act, Jaime Kaplan pushed all in himself over the top, and that was enough to scatter both the blinds and Le Floch.

Watts: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Kaplan: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, improving Kaplan to a pair but also providing Watts with a flush draw. The turn then brought the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {9-Spades}, and Watts has been eliminated in 59th place.

Preite Shows Ace-High

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Gaetano Preite came in for a raise in early position, Michiel Brummelhuis called in the cutoff, and George Wong defended his big blind. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Wong and Preite both checked, and Brummelhuis fired out 190,000. Wong folded, Preite check-raised to 600,000, and Brummelhuis re-raised to 1.3 million.

Preite clicked it back, making it two million to go, and Brummelhuis folded. Preite showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for ace-high, and his rail exploded into a chorus of yells.

Lindh Forces Fold

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Bruno Kawauti raised to 110,000 from the button, and Chris Lindh three-bet to 275,000 from the small blind. Brendon O'Neal folded in the big blind, and action was back on Kawauti. After thinking for a minute, Kawauti re-raised to 515,000. Chris Lindh quickly went all in. He had Kawauti covered, and his bet was effectively for 2,035,000. Kawauti thought only briefly, then slid his cards to the much. As the dealer was pushing the pot to the winner, Lindh showed one card, the {4-Clubs}.

Andrea Dato - 60th Place
Andrea Dato - 60th Place

Andrea Dato moved all in from the hijack seat for 760,000, and Bryan Pellegrino called all in from the small blind for 640,000. Noah Schwartz made the call from the big blind to put them both at risk.

Schwartz held the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}, Dato the {A-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Pellegrino the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to keep Pellegrino's eights in front and win him the pot. He tripled up, while Dato was eliminated by Schwartz.
