Dattani KOs Lehmann

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We came upon a preflop battle brewing between Umang Dattani and Georg Lehmann in which Dattani was putting in another reraise for 200,000 on top of Lehmann's latest bet, then Lehmann shoved all in and Dattani called right away.

Lehmann had {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} while Dattani had {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The board came uneventfully — {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Spades} — removing doubt by the turn and knocking Lehmann from the tournament.

Mandic Doubles Through Pellegrino

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After facing a bet of 33,000, Bryan Pellegrino raised it up to 80,000 from the button. Goran Mandic was on the small blind, and thought for a minute, before bumping it up to 158,000. The original better got out of the way, before Pellegrino opted to move all in for around 1.6 million in chips. Mandic snap called for less, and the players tabled their cards.

Mandic: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Pellegrino: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, to see Mandic hold with his pocket pair, before doubling up.

Schwarmann KO's Another

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

No more then two hands after Nick Schwarmann ousted Vivek Rajkumar, he busted Samuel Clements. Clements raised to 32,000 from under the gun +1, and Schwarmann reraised to 122,000 from the small blind. Clements moved all in for just 3,000 more, and Schwarmann called.

Clements: {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Schwarmann: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

Clements was in a world of hurt, and would need a ton of help to survive the hand. He caught little to no help on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Clements would need runner runner to survive. He got one of those cards when the {9-Spades} hit the turn, but the {j-Spades} on the river didn't help him anymore.

Schwarmann collected another bounty, upping his stack to 1.91 million, while Clements headed for the payout desk.

Reed Rivers a Set, Has Nearly Three Million

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

According to Jason Potter, Matthew Reed and Christopher Anderson saw the flop heads-up in a four-bet pot. On the {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board, the two got all the chips in the middle.

Reed: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Anderson: {j-}{j-}

Anderson had outflopped Reed in a big way, and Reed now needed a set of his own to take the pot. The turn was a {k-Clubs}, but the river brought the {a-Clubs}, and Reed had spiked his set to scoop one of the biggest pots of the tournament and eliminate Anderson.

Chip Counts

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Liu Shoves with Nine-High; Ben Cherif Second in Chips

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Rachid Ben Cherif
Rachid Ben Cherif

Rachid Ben Cherif opened to 40,000 from under the gun and both Cheng Liu and Josh Prager called from the hi-jack and small blind respectively.

Ben Cherif continued for 78,000 on the {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop before Liu announced he was all in as Prager quickly mucked. Ben Cherif asked for a count, and when it was revealed to be 626,000, he went into the tank for close to two minutes before making the call.

Ben Cherif: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Liu: {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The dealer delivered the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and immediately Liu stood up, clapped his hand and cheered before realizing that his pair on the turn actually gave Ben Cherif the nut flush. The river landed the {10-Hearts} and Liu was headed out the door as Ben Cherif stacked his chips to roughly 2,750,000 in chips.

Schwarmann Busts Rajkumar in Huge Pot

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Vivek Rajkumar
Vivek Rajkumar

We just had a pot of almost two million chips that has seen Vivek Rajkumar, who was having a good day so far, suddenly get eliminated by Nick Schwarmann.

Rajkumar raised it up to 35,000 under the gun +1, and Schwarmann reraised to 82,000 two spots over. Action folded back around to Rajkumar, who tanked for a minute or so before four betting to 202,000. Schwarmann made the call, and the flop came down {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Rajkumar checked to Schwarmann, who moved all in after 30 seconds of thought. Rajkumar snap called, and we had a huge pot on our hands as the cards were being tabled.

Rajkumar: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Schwarmann: {a-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

According to the PokerNews odds calculator, Rajkumar held a slight edge of 53% to Schwarmann's 47%, and Rajkumar's odds increased to 73% when the turn came the {K-Hearts}. Rajkumar was looking to fade an ace or a diamond, but unfortunately for him, the one-in-four shot came through, as the {5-Diamonds} hit the river.

The stacks were counted down, and it was determined that Schwarmann barely had Rajkumar outchipped. Rajkumar gave his patented "so sick," comment as the chips were being counted, then wished everyone luck while shaking hands with the players at the table before exiting the Mothership.

Nível 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With the board showing {8-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and a pot of nearly half a million chips already built between them, Jose Manuel Nadal and Marc McLaughlin had reached fifth street when McLaughlin declared he was pushing his big stack all in.

Down to a little less than 350,000, Nadal considered for a while before letting his hand go.
