Olivier Elissalde Goes All Day

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We caught Olivier Elissalde calling a river bet on a queen-high board containing three clubs, and while his opponent held {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, the Frenchman tabled {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush by the turn.

With the win, Elissalde moved into the upper echelon of the Day 1b chip counts, and with just 51 minutes remaining in the last level of play, he is poised to bag and tag one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Elder Over the Century Mark

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Rupert Elder
Rupert Elder

With 5,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Lucille Cailly bet 3,100 from middle position and Rupert Elder called her from the hijack. When the {2-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Cailly gather up a bet and then dropped in chips totaling 2,150.

Elder reached into his stack and pulled out enough to make the call, which is what he did. Cailly rapped the table to indicate she didn't have a winning hand, and Elder then flipped over the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a flopped two pair. With that, Elder is a little over 100,000.

Gianluca Chipping Up

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The hand started with the player in the cut-off opening to 850, and getting called by Rullo Gianluca on the big blind. The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, as Gianluca checked his option, before his opponent decided to move all in for 4,600 in chips. Gianluca made the quick call, as the cards were tabled.

Gianluca: {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Gianluca had flopped top pair, and held, as the board ran out the {3-Clubs} and {j-Hearts} to see him take out another player, moving to over 160,000 in chips.

Garrett Busts

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Brad Garrett
Brad Garrett

We missed the betting amounts, but found out that Brad Garrett opened with a bet from middle position, before his opponent on the button raised it up. Garrett then moved all in for his last 5,800 and was called, as both players tabled their cards.

Garrett: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Garrett, the board ran out {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} to see his opponent hit two-pair, sending him to the rail, with just over an hour left of the first day.
