Gjergj Sinishtaj Eliminated in 6th Place ($153,372)

Nível 28 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Gjergj Sinishtaj - 6th Place
Gjergj Sinishtaj - 6th Place

Hand #119: Gjergj Sinishtaj raised in early position, Daniel Alaei called in the cutoff, and James Wiese called in the big blind. The dealer fanned {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Wiese quickly checked, Sinishtraj moved all in for 710,000, Alaei called, and Wiese folded.

Sinishtaj: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Alaei: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The turn was the {9-Spades}, improving Alaei's hand from two pair to a straight and giving him outs to make a flush, and the {9-Clubs} bricked off of the river. Sinishtaj was eliminated, while Alaei now has over five million chips.

"He's got a bright future," Jared Bleznick said, referring to Sinishtaj. "He's going to win the Main Event before he's 25. I'll bet it."

Wiese Bet Forces Bleznick Fold

Nível 28 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
James Wiese
James Wiese

Hand #118: James Wiese (middle position) and Daniel Alaei (small blind) limped, Jared Bleznick checked (big blind), and all three subquently checked the {8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop. They also checked the {4-Clubs} turn, and it appeared the hand would likely end without much fanfare.

But when the river brought the {9-Clubs} and Alaei checked, Bleznick promptly bet the pot — 240,000 — then Wiese didn't waste much time at all before reraising to 960,000, only leaving himself about 400,000 behind.

Alaei folded instantly, and Bleznick began talking out loud as he narrated his thinking process.

"The thing is… you bluff a lot," he said. "You're capable of a lot," he added, then asked the dealer to pull the chips in to see it was 720,000 for him to call.

Finally he let his hand go, continuing to talk while Wiese just chewed his gum wordlessly and dragged the chips.

Hand #114: Bleznick limped in on the button, Tom Marchese completed from the small blind, and James Wiese checked in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, all three players checked, and Wiese took the pot down with a bet after the {3-Hearts} turned.

Hand #110: It was a limped pot, blind-vs.-blind hand between Gjergj Sinishtaj and Agrawal. They checked down the {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop and {2-Spades} turn, then Sinishtaj bet 60,000 after the {K-Spades} river and Agrawal called. Agrawal showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Sinishtaj mucked.

Hand #111: A five-way limped pot on this one, and when Tom Marchese fired a 110,000 bet after a {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop, all folded.

Sean Dempsey Eliminated in 7th Place ($115,637)

Sean Dempsey - 7th Place
Sean Dempsey - 7th Place

Hand #100: Numit Agrawal raised to 120,000 from the hijack seat and Daniel Alaei called from the cutoff. It folded to James Wiese who reraised to 500,000 from the big blind, forcing a quick fold from Agrawal and after a few extra moments a fold from Alaei as well.

Hand #101: Agrawal raised to 210,000 from middle position, then Sean Dempsey reraised the pot from the big blind. Agrawal reraised back, and Dempsey called all in.

Dempsey: {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Agrawal: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} giving Dempsey a pair of eights and a tenuous lead. The {A-Hearts} fell on the turn, and while Dempsey still had the edge Agrawal had numerous outs to fill draws and end with the best hand.

One of those outs then arrived on the river — the {10-Diamonds} — giving Agrawal a Broadway straight and ending Dempsey's Event #61 run in seventh.

Hand #99: Wiese limped in from under the gun, Daniel Alaei called on the button, Bleznick completed in the small blind, and Marchese checked in the big blind. The dealer spread {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Bleznick checked, Marchese fired 240,000, Wiese raised, and the action folded back to Marchese, who called all in for 495,000.

Wiese: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Marchese: {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}

Marchese flopped a set of sixes, but needed to fade a king or a diamond on the turn and river. He did so when the {10-Hearts} and the {a-Spades} completed the board, more than doubling to 1.23 million chips. Wiese fell to 1.6 million.

Flushes for Alaei

Nível 27 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Hand #92: James Wiese (under the gun) and Daniel Alaei (button) limped, and Tom Marchese checked his option in the big blind. All checked the {K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop. The {7-Hearts} came on the turn, and when checked to Wiese bet 100,000 and only Alaei called.

The river was the {8-Hearts}. Wiese checked, and Alaei set out a bet of 275,000. Wiese thought for a while then called, and Alaei tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for the nut flush, Wiese folded.

Hand #93: Alaei raised to 150,000 from the cutoff seat and won the blinds.

Hand #94: Gjergj Sinishtaj raised to 125,000 from middle position and got one caller in James Wiese from the small blind. The flop came {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Wiese checked, and when Sinishtaj bet 110,000, Wiese folded.

Hand #95: Alaei limped from early position and it folded to Gjergj Sinishtaj in the big blind who checked. Both checked the {6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. The turn was the {J-Hearts}. Sinishtaj bet 80,000, and Alaei called.

The river was the {5-Diamonds}, and when Sinishtaj bet 175,000, Alaei was quick with the call. Alaei turned over {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} for a diamond flush, and Sinishtaj mucked.
