Farhad Momeni raised, Scott Seiver three-bet, and Momeni called. Both took one card on the first draw and Momeni checked. Seiver bet, Momeni check-raised, and Seiver called.
Momeni stood pat from there, while Seiver drew one on each of the last two draws. Momeni bet and Seiver called after the second, then Momeni bet all in after the third and Seiver called once more.
"Eight-five?" said Seiver questioningly, but Momeni answered by showing 
and Seiver patted the felt saying "good hand."

Marco Johnson was crippled down to just 12,000 in a hand versus Brian Brubaker in which the latter drew a wheel. Just a couple of hands later Eric Wasserson was raising from middle position and Brubaker reraised all in for his last 10,000 from the button, earning a call from Wasserson.
On the first draw Wasserson tossed away one card while Johnson discarded two — a

The third draw saw Wasserson take one card again and Johnson once again having to draw two, this time showing he'd been dealt two fives when he already had a

Johnson then checked the last two he'd been dealt, and quickly showed them to be before departing in 16th place.

Benjamin Pollak had just been crippled down to his last 5,000 after losing a big pot to David "ODB" Baker, and he stuck the last of it in from early position. Mike Watson and Michael Mizrachi then proceeded to cap the betting after him, and they both drew one, while Pollak drew two. Watson check called a bet from Mizrachi, and everyone drew one card. It was checked through, and Watson stood pat, while Mizraci and Pollak both drew one.
Both players checked again, and Watson rolled over . Mizrachi couldn't beat that as he mucked his hand, and Pollak tabled . He was drawing very live to survive, but he ended up with a , which did him in for this tournament.

Calvin Anderson nursed a short stack for much of the last couple of levels, but he has finally seen his Event #59 run come to an end here halfway through Level 17.
In his final hand, Anderson was all in by the third draw versus Konstantin Puchkov. The latter stood pat, and after sitting in contemplation for some time Anderson decided to stay with his hand as well.
Anderson showed , but it wasn't enough against Puchkov's , and they are down to 17.

Mike Stotz just got involved in a predraw raising battle with Daniel Negreanu, with Stotz playing from the small blind and Negreanu from the big blind. Stotz had but 2,300 left after that, and the rest of the chips went in after the first draw.

The short stacks keep surviving. This time it was Brian Brubaker again, all in for about 15,000 before the first draw against both Konstantin Puchkov and Michael Mizrachi.
Brubaker would draw one then stay pat thereafter, while Mizrachi took two on all three draws and Puchkov one on all three draws. Mizrachi showed a hand, Brubaker tabled a , and Puchkov mucked.
