The starting field of 4,756 entries is down to just 67 hopefuls, each looking to capture a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet, as well as the $663,727 first-place prize. Leading the way into Day 3 is Joseph Wilson with 983,000. Following him in the chip counts are Nghi "Henry" Tran (803,000), Roberto Romanello (781,000), and Mikolaj Zawadzki (715,000).
Others still in the field include Andrey Pateychuk (552,000), Roland Israelashvili (407,000), Allyn Jaffrey Shulman (360,000), Justin Zaki (254,000), Mike Sowers (217,000), Grayson Ramage (166,000), Bryn Kenney (164,000), Joel Micka (125,000) Chris Bjorin (111,000), and Adam Geyer (90,000).
The plan for Day 3 is to play down to a winner, although that will be difficult to reach. So expect 11 levels to be played and the survivors to return tomorrow to play down to a winner. We noticed the seat formerly occupied by Mike Sowers was empty. We asked the table, and they said he had gotten the last of his chips all in before the flop with against after being crippled by Chad Mcclintock on a previous hand.
Chad Mcclintock raised a 53,000 bet to 130,000 on a flop of , and saw Joe Wilson cold-call behind him. The original bettor folded, and Mcclintock and Wilson saw a turn. Mcclintock bet 200,000 this time, and WIlson beat him into the pot after the bet was announced. The river was a , and Mcclintock immediately moved all in. Wilson had him barely covered, and he went into the tank for a few minutes. Finally, a player called the clock.
Mcclintock offered to show his hand, and after about 30 seconds, Wilson announced a fold. Mcclintock turned over , and Wilson showed .
Adriano Santa Ana opened to 41,000 from the hijack and Clint Lilienthal three-bet shoved for 261,000 on the button. Action folded back to Santa Ana who mulled it over for about 90 seconds before he called with . It was a race as Lilienthal tabled , but the board ran out to pair Santa Ana and eliminate Lilienthal in 27th place.
Scott O'Reilly was all in for about 300,000 from the cutoff with against Manuel Mutke's on the button. The board ran out , pairing O'Reilly's ace and leaving Mutke with 9,000.
The following hand, Mutke was all in for his remaining 6,000 with against Eugene Fouksman's , but the board fell , ending Mutke's run in 25th place.
Action folded to Gordon Huntly on the button and he shoved for 247,000. John Gulino called from the big blind with , racing with Huntly's . The board fell , safe for Huntly to double up.
The following hand, Huntly opened from the cutoff to 50,000 and Gulino shoved from the small blind for about 90,000. Huntly called with , slightly leading Gulino's . The board fell to give Huntly two pair and eliminate Gulino in 24th place.
Gaetano Dimaria opened to 55,000 under the gun and Cuong Van Nguyen three-bet to 120,000 from the next seat over. Anton Bertilsson, who was UTG+2, four-bet shoved for about 720,000. Action folded back to Dimaria who promptly called all in for about 645,000. Van Nguyen also called, having the biggest stack of the trio.

Bertilsson found no help from the board, ending his tournament in 22nd place. Van Nguyen won a few extra chips as Bertilsson had Dimaria covered.
Roberto Romanello tossed all of his green T25,000 chips in after action folded to his button. Matthew Krier went all in over the top from the small blind, and the big blind folded. Romanello called off his last few thousand.
