Event #58: $1,111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em

Dia 3 Concluído

Tran Leads Final Eight

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Nghi Tran
Nghi Tran

Sixty-seven players made the cut to begin Day 3 of Event #58: $1,111 Little One for One Drop, but only a select eight are still in contention after 10 levels of play today. Nghi "Henry" Tran leads the octet with 4,130,000, as his trademark aggressive play, along with some good luck, has propelled him to the top.

Notable online powerhouses Bryn Kenney and Mike Sowers were among the first to fall today, and Allyn Jaffrey Shulman and Day 2 chipleader Joe Wilson weren't far behind. Gordon Huntly was the unfortunate victim of the final table bubble.

Once there, all ins were frequent but short stacks carried the day, including Kevin O'Donnell getting it in with the shortest stack and the worst hand but coming out on top in a three-way pot. Adriano Santa Ana was the only player to fall since final table play began, but others will surely be joining him early on Day 4.

Play resumes at 1 p.m. in the Amazon Room, and while the majority of the players in the room will be jockeying for early positioning in the Main Event, one of the eight players remaining here will be pocketing a gold bracelet and $663,727. Be sure to tune in to find out whom that will be.

Justin Zaki Doubles Through Nghi Tran

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #35: Nghi "Henry" Tran opened to 180,000 from early position and Justin Zaki three-bet shoved for 1.05 million from the next seat over. Action folded back to Tran who tanked for about three minute before opting to call.

Tran: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Zaki: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

The {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop was safe for Zaki, but the {J-Clubs} turn gave Tran a few outs to Broadway. However, the {7-Spades} river wasn't one of them and Zaki secured the double up.

Tran Shoves On Morneau

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #23: Action folded to Nghi "Henry" Tran on the button and he raised to 180,000. Joseph Morneau three-bet to 420,000 in the big blind, only to see Tran four-bet shove with the bigger stack. Morneau folded and Tran took down the pot.

Tran Gets Value

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #16: Alex Case check-called bets on all three streets from Nghi Tran on a board of {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Tran showed {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for trips, and Case mucked.

Israelashvili Doubles Through O'Donnell

Nível 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #14: Roland Israelashvili raised to 200,000 in early position. Kevin O'Donnell reraised to 600,000 from his immediate left, and everyone else folded. After about two minutes of tanking, Israelashvili motioned all in with his hand. It was 815,000 more, and O'Donnell called.

Israelashvili: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
O'Donnell: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

A flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} opened up some chopping outs for Israelashvili. The turn was a {q-Diamonds}, putting in the outright lead but giving his opponent the nut flush draw. The rail cheered for a diamond, but the river was a {j-Hearts}.

Hand #10: Joseph Morneau raised to 160,000 from the hijack and Roland Israelashvili shoved from the button for about 1.1 million. Adriana Santa Ana called all in for 85,000 from the small blind and Morneau folded.

Israelashvili: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Santa Ana: {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, not enough help for Santa Ana, ending his run in ninth place.
