Day 1B Field on Pace to Exceed Day 1A

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

With 2,150 registrants at the moment, and more coming in by the minute as player's bustout and reenter, today's second flight of the Little One for One Drop is on pace to shatter yesterday's count of 2,233 entries.

The amateurs and the pros alike seem to be quite enthused with this reentry format, and the play has definitely picked up during the third level.

With a little over an hour left to late register or reenter the tournament, we expect to see a few hundred more donations to the One Drop charity to be made here today.

Patrick Eskandar Can Draw

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

With the board reading {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Spades} by the turn, Patrick Eskandar moved all in to put his opponent to a tough test.

Eventually, the other player called with {7-}{8-} for two pair, and Eskandar tabled the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

"I have a straight draw," Eskandar told the table as the dealer burned and turned the {A-Hearts} on the river. "But that's event better."

With his trip aces, Eskandar doubled through, and he now sits with about 7,300 chips.

Some More Names

PokerNews Blogger Jesse Capps (Seen Here Playing an Earlier WSOP Event) is Trying His Luck Here at the Little One for One Drop

With Tim Duckworth in the house trying to add to PokerNews' bracelet haul for the summer, we'd be remiss not to mention another member of the team trying his hand here today.

Field reporter and blogger Jesse Capps is playing the Little One for One Drop here today, and after a chance meeting in the notorious Poker Kitchen, we've learned that Capps has already doubled his starting stack.

Apparently, Capps found a good spot with {K-}{K-} against {Q-}{Q-}, and with a head start over the rest of the field the aspiring poker pro is off and running.
