Ramin Hajiyev and Yaron Zeev Malki Eliminated Simultaneously

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev and Yaron Zeev Malki were eliminated at just about the same time at two separate tables, bringing the field down to 27 players.

The first hand we caught was Hajiyev's. He was all in with {Q-}{Q-} against {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for a classic race situation. Unfortunately for him the board ran out {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} and his opponent's full house was good to send him home from the tournament.

At the table just next to Hajiyev's, Malki was all in and sweating as well when he got his {A-}{8-} all in against Thomas Muehloecker's {K-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} giving Muehloecker the winning full house and eliminating Malki from the tournament.

The players are taking a short break now to redraw for seats.

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Petar Zografov moved all in for 83,000 from under the gun plus one, as the table folded around to Joe Serock on the big blind. He made the call, as both players revealed their cards.

Serock: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Zografov: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} to see Zografov hit his queen, and double up.

Pantaleo Hits The Rail

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Shortly after getting crippled by Carter Swidler, Giuseppe Pantaleo was eliminated by Grant Levy. We didn't catch the action, but Levy told us he had {8-}{6-} and turned the nut straight to send Pantaleo home. Pantaleo was holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and it was being tossed into the muck as he was standing up and heading to the payout desk.

On his way out, Pantaleo frustratedly through a water bottle on the ground.

Sam Trickett (during Day 1)
Sam Trickett (during Day 1)

The hand started with Olivier Busquet opening to 20,000 from late position, and getting called by Jeff Papola in the hijack. The action then fell on Sam Trickett in the small blind, who moved all in for his last 141,000 in chips. Arthur Pro was seated to his left, and tanked for over two minutes, before finally releasing his hand. Busquet then folded as well, before the cards were turned over.

Trickett: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Papola: {K-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to see Papola hitting running cards to make a straight, eliminating Trickett from the tournament.

Swidler Doubles Through Pantaleo

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action had folded to Carter Swidler who was on the button. He shoved all in for 177,000. Joe Serock folded his small blind, but after thinking about it for a few seconds Giuseppe Pantaleo called from the big.

Swidler: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Pantaleo: {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} giving Swidler the nut flush and the double up, crippling Pantaleo in the process.

Seth Berger Leads Day 3 of Event #57: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em

Seth Berger - Day 3 Chip Leader
Seth Berger - Day 3 Chip Leader

Welcome back to Day 3 of Event #57: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em. We’re left with just 31 players today, who will play it out till we reach the final table, before coming back for a scheduled Day 4 tomorrow.

Leading the way is Seth Berger, with 986,000 in chips. He’ll be hoping to go one better in this event, after narrowly missing out on a bracelet, when he came second in Event #3: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em. Snapping at Berger’s heels are Philipp Gruissem {743,000) and Antonio Buonanno (732,000) as well as Dan Martin, Matt Perrins, Joe Serock and Olivier Busquet amongst the big stacks.

But we can't ignore Matt Berkey and Randal Flowers who are mid-pack, as well as short-stacks JC Tran, Sam Trickett, Grant Levy and Pratyush Buddiga, who have all been in this situation before, and have managed to prevail when it counts.

The play is set to kick off at 1:00pm, around 30 minutes from now. Stay tuned to PokerNews.com, as we bring you all the action, from the Blue Section of the Amazon Room, here at the Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
