Day 2 of Event #57: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em has come to an end with Seth Berger topping the final 31 players.

At the beginning of the day 235 players all had eyes of firstly making the money-paying top 81, but as players battle back-and-forth trying to climb the chip leaderboard many notables would fall with the likes of Maria Ho, Taylor Paur, Allen Cunningham, Calvin Anderson, Eugene Katchalov, Dan O'Brien and Mike Watson all finding themselves on the rail.

With dinner break fast approaching, so was the bubble, and although multiple players doubled, play would be paused so that some grub could be consumed. However on return it would only take a few hands before Eros Nastasi committed holding {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} but would be outdrawn by his opponent's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} to leave the remaining 81 players guaranteed $9,175.

Chips would begin to fly as a multitude of players hit the rail with Tobias Reinkemeier (77th), Dani Stern (72nd), Barry Shulman (63rd), Dominik Nitsche (60th), Eric Baldwin (43rd), Phil Laak (41st) and Jared Hamby (35th) all bounced to the rail before play was called for the night. Of those remaining players it is Seth Berger who topped the counts with an impressive 986,000 however snapping on his heels include Philipp Gruissem (743,000) and Antonio Buonanno (732,000) as the top ten chip counts stack up follows.

Levy Doubles

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Giuseppe Pantaleo opened to 17,000 from the hijack, before Grany Levy moved all in for 86,000 from the button. The action folded back to Pantaleo who made the call.

Levy: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Pantaleo: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

“Good luck Aussie,” said Yaron Zeev Malki, wishing his table mate some luck.

“Thank you, I need it,” replied Levy, before the dealer then spread out the {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop.

“There it is,” added Malki, as Levy took the lead.

The board ran out the {8-Diamonds} and {2-Spades}, to see Levy double back up to 190,000 in chips.

Reilly Eliminated

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded around to Dan Martin on the button, who shoved all in. Timothy Reilly called from the small blind and showed his {9-}{9-}, which was good against Martin’s {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for Reilly, a {q-} would make its way on the turn, to see him eliminated from the tournament.

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Carter Swidler open-jammed for 99,000 and Thomas Muehloecker made the call.

Swidler: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Muehloecker: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Swidler doubled through.

Jeff Papola opened to 17,000 and Viet Vo flatted next to act before Carter Swidler shoved all in for 223,000. Papola quickly folded but Vo thought for a few moments before calling all-in for 122,000.

Swider: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Vo: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The {2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board ensured Vo the double to 270,000 as Swidler was left with 101,000 in chips.

We arrived at the table, to find Pratyush Buddiga all in with his {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and finding a call from Olivier Busquet, who had {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, to see Buddiga hit a set on the flop, and fade a nine or ace on the river to take down the pot.
