Jacks are Good For Loeser

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We joined the action on a {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop where Manig Loeser was seated in the cutoff and Thayer Rasmussen in the big blind. Rasmussen had check-raised Loeser's bet to 3,200 and Loeser made the call. A burn card later and the {6-Hearts} peeled off and became the turn card. Rasmussen fired a bet of 3,800 and Loeser called.

That was the last of the betting action because when Rasmussen checked, Loeser checked behind. Rasmussen turned the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} onto their backs and lost when Loeser flipped over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Cunningham Pushes

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Following a raise to 1,200 and a call from Jared Hamby, Allen Cunningham called from the big blind as the dealer dropped a {5-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop.

Cunningham checked and the initial raiser continued for 1,700 with Hamby making the call before Cunningham pushed all in for 12,175. The initial raiser folded fairly quickly, and after asking for a count, Hamby's cards followed suit to see Cunningham pushed the pot.

Tilly Toppled

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Jennifer Tilly is down to only 5,000 chips after a clash with fellow female player Cherish Andrews.

We didn't catch the action but from what Tilly was saying to Phil Laak, the chips went into the middle on a {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} board, Tilly with {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Andrews with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Andrews' set stayed good as the river landed the {10-Diamonds} and she helped herself to the vast majority of Tilly's stack.

Tilly was then eliminated a few hands later.

Quads for Emmons

Nível 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Catching the action with everyone's cards tabled, we found David Emmons all in for 6,000, another player all in for 6,075 and Elliot Hebden having both players covered.

Hebden: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Emmons: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Amazingly the flop fell {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Hebden started calling for a four. The {6-Spades} on the turn would see that four only warrant a chop, but it would be the {2-Spades} on the river giving Emmons quads that would set the table alight as he remained alive with a little under 20,000 while Hebden still possessed a healthy 120,000-chip stack.

Perrins Has Had a Great Day

Nível 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Matt Perrins's tournament seems to be going to plan judging by how his stack now contains 97,600 chips. Perrins already has a World Series of Poker bracelet, which he won in the $1,500 No Limit 2-7 lowball event in 2011.

Stern and Boujenah Collide

Nível 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Dani Stern made it 1,200 to play from the cutoff only to see Ilan Boujenah three-bet to 3,100 on the button/Both blinds quickly released their hands, but Stern stuck around and called.

Stern checked the {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, Boujenah bet 3,200 and Stern called. Both players checked the {5-Clubs} turn, Stern also checking the {J-Hearts} river. Boujenah returned to making an aggressive play and bet 6,000. Stern sat with his hand covering his neck for the best part of 30 seconds before folding and leaving Boujenah to add to his stack.
