Happy Canada Day from FBT

"It's Canada Day," we heard an excited Greg "FBT" Mueller at the start of Day 2.

Mueller, a former hockey player, hails from Canada and is proudly celebrating the national day of Canada, known in French as Fête du Canada, bu wearing a loud Canada shirt.

We'd have written about this earlier, but alas we had to wait for a decent picture to do Mueller's patriotism justice.

For those who don't know, Canada celebrates July 1, 1867, the day the Constitution Act (AKA British North America Act) was enacted. The act united three colonies into a single country (present day Canada).

So from all of us at PokerNews, and Mueller himself, HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Five players limped to see a flop come , at which point it folded around to Daniel Negreanu in the cutoff who bet 4,500. All folded back to Minh Ly, sitting on Negreanu's right, who then announced he was raising the pot, and Negreanu quickly tossed away his hand.

Mizrachi Staying Aggressive Before Last Break

Before the break last level, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi kept up his well-known aggressive ways by raising preflop on the final three hands of the level pre flop in no-limit hold'em. Here is the action from those hands.

On the first hand, John Hennigan limped from under the gun, and Mizrachi raised to 3,100 from the hijack seat. Justin Smith called on the button, then action folded to Jason Mercier in the big blind. He three-bet to 12,700, Hennigan folded, Mizrachi folded, and Smith called. The flop came down , and Mercier bet 11,100. Smith folded, and Mercier won the pot.

On the very next hand, Mizrachi opened with a raise to 2,200 from early position. George Danzer called from the hijack seat, and Hennigan called out of the big blind. The flop came down , and action checked around to see the land on the turn and pair the board. After Hennigan checked, Mizrachi bet 4,000. Danzer and Hennigan folded, and Mizrachi won the pot.

Then on the next hand, the final hand before the break, Mizrachi raised to 2,100 from under the gun. Troy Burkholder three-bet to 5,000 in the cutoff seat. Hennigan called from the small blind, but Mizrachi increased things even more with a four-bet to 20,000. Burkholder and Hennigan both folded, and Mizrachi won the pot.
