Gross Doubles

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We're unsure of the action, but when we arrived at the table, Steve Gross was pulling in an all-in pot with the board and cards looking like this:

Gross: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Brock Parker: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Board: {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Gross doubled to over 80,000 chips, while Parker slipped to 87,000.

Kurganov vs. Sulsky in Massive 400K Pot

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Igor Kurganov opened for 5,100 from the hijack only to have Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky three-bet to 13,500 from the cutoff. The button folded, as did the blinds, and Kurganov pushed back with a four-bet to 32,500. Sulsky thought for a few moments and then announced that he was all in. Kurganov wasted little time in calling off for 201,900 total.

"Ok, let's do it," Sulsky said before tabling the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. He almost seemed to know it was a flip, and indeed it was as Kurganov rolled over the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The excitement that comes with a race such as this was quickly dissipated when the {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop gave Kurganov a set.

"I still have a jack," Sulsky said after the {10-Spades} turned. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't find one as the {7-Clubs} blanked on the river. Ship the double to Kurganov.

"I Pay. Woman. You."

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Joe Cada opened for 4,500 from the hijack only to have Marvin Rettenmaier three-bet to 12,200 from the cutoff. Action folded to a short-stacked Artem Litvinov in the big blind and he turned sideways in his chair, turning his back to the action. The dealer seemed a bit confused, as did some of the players, but then Litvinov pulled out a coin and flipped it.

We're not sure what it came up, but it inspired Litvinov to move all in for 32,200. Cada quickly folded and Rettenmaier thought about a call. Litvinov, who is from Russia, attempted to talk Rettenmaier out of making the call in his broken english, but the German called him nonetheless.

Litvinov: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Rettenmaier: {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Litvinov looked crushed when the {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop paired Rettenmaier and immediately stood from his chair. The {10-Spades} gave him pause as it delivered a flush draw, and then Litvinov went wild when the {J-Spades} river completed it to extend his tournament life.

"Yes. Yes. Yes," Litvinov said. "I pay. Woman. You," he added to Rettenmaier.

"I'm good , man," Rettenmaier said with a chuckle. Litvinov then went off to the side, cleared away some spectators and then began doing his patented karate moves in celebration.

Big Hand Entering the Break

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Just before the break, Jason Senti raised to 4,500 in the cutoff seat. Kevin Eyster called in the small blind, Fabian Quoss squeezed, three-betting to 16,000 in the big blind, and Senti called.

"All in," Eyster announced, having both players covered.

The bet was for effectively 260,000 or so, but Quoss only had 138,200 total. He opted to call all-in, and Senti quickly folded.

Quoss: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Eyster: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Quoss took the lead when the flop fell {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and successfully doubled when the turn and river bricked {3-Clubs}, {j-Spades} respectively. He now has around 300,000 chips, while Eyster and Senti have 215,000 and 238,000 respectively.

Goldberg Fishhooked by Rettenmaier

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We're not sure how the han went down, but we do know David Goldberg was all in preflop holding the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and up against the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Marvin Rettenmaier. The board ran out clean and Rettenmaier's jacks held up to send Goldberg to the rail.

Chewy Takes a Chunk from Mercier

Nível 11 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 1)
Andrew Lichtenberger (Day 1)

Andrew "luckychewy" Lichtenberger raised to 5,500 in first position, and the action folded to Jason Mercier, who three-bet to 13,200 on the button. Lichtenberger called.

The dealer spread {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Lichtenberger checked, and Mercier continued for 12,300. Lichtenberger called, and both players checked when the {a-Spades} turned.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board, Lichtenberger checked a third and final time, and Mercier tossed out 27,100. Lichtenberger went for the check-raise, making it 75,000 to go, and Mericer sighed loudly. He re-checked his cards two or three more times, snatched a handful of chips in his hand, and finally made the call.

Lichtenberger ripped over {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} - he had flopped the nuts - and Mercier flicked his cards into the muck.
