Use the Force

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 11,000 in the hijack seat, Richard Lyndaker called in the small blind, and Rachid Ben Cherif squeezed, three-betting to 42,000 in the big blind. Julius folded, Lyndaker announced that he was all in, shoving for effectively 190,500, and Ben Cherif look at his cards quickly before calling.

Lyndaker: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Ben Cherif: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The Dutchman known as "SkaiWalkurrr" held as the board came {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, doubling to nearly 400,000 chips. Lyndaker plummeted to 185,000.

Steinberg Coolered Down by the Shorr

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Shannon Shorr opened for 11,000 under the gun and received a call from Marvin Rettenmaier on the button. WSOP bracelet winner Max Steinberg, who we told you a bit about earlier, then three-bet to 39,000 from the small blind, the big folded and Shorr made the call.

After Rettenmaier folded, the flop came down {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Steinberg bet 40,000. Shorr, who was on the bigger stack, moved all in and Steinberg snap-called off with the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Much to his surprise, Shorr rolled over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

Neither the {2-Clubs} turn nor {5-Spades} river helped the shell-shocked Steinberg and he made a hasty exit from the tournament area.

What are the Odds? Mizzi vs. Eyster

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Sorel Mizzi on Day 1.
Sorel Mizzi on Day 1.

Action folded to Sorel Mizzi on the button and he put in a standard raise. Kevin Eyster then three-bet to 27,500 from the small blind, the big folded and Mizzi shoved all in for 105,500 total. Eyster didn't seem too excited but made the call nonetheless.

Mizzi: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Eyster: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

According to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, Mizzi was a 65.59% favorite while Eyster had a 27.04% chance of coming from behind (there was a 7.35% chance of a chop).

The {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was great for Mizzi as it gave him the nut-flush draw while at the same time missing Eyster; in fact, Mizzi became a huge 89.70% favorite while Eyster's chances dropped to 8.18%. The {2-Diamonds} turn gave Eyster wheel draw to a five, though the {5-Clubs} would be no good as it'd give Mizzi a flush. A five did peel off on the river and it was the red {5-Diamonds}.

Eyster spiked his straight to send Mizzi to the rail.

For Sauce, the War is Over

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ben Sulsky (Event #27) - Eliminated
Ben Sulsky (Event #27) - Eliminated

After tripling up through Igor Kurganov and Stephen Chidwick, Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky moved all in for 39,000 in the cutoff. Chidwick examined Ognjen Sekularac's stack in the big blind before calling from the small blind, and Sekularac called as well.

"I have customers!" Sulsky said, looking for back-to-back triple ups.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and both Chidwick and Sekularac knuckled. The turn was the {8-Hearts}, Chidwick led out for 35,000, and Sekularac moved all in for 164,500. Chidwick tank-folded.

Sekularac quickly tabled {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights.

"That makes sense," Sulsky said, still smiling as he showed {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. He was drawing dead.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board, giving him a meaningless two pair, and he was eliminated.

"For me, the war is over," Sulsky announced. "Good luck, guys."
