Schneider Survives

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Stud-8

A very short stacked Tom Schneider in the bring-in and gets his last few thousand into the pot against Jose-Luis Velador.

Schneider: {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}/{2-Hearts}
Velador: {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}/{8-Hearts}

The runout for each? Not so great. Schneider caught the {5-Spades} on fourth street, but that was followed by the {J-Hearts} on fifth, {K-Spades} on sixth, and {Q-Clubs} on seventh to give Schneider a measly king high.

Luckily for Schneider, Velador caught the {2-Diamonds} on fourth, {Q-Spades} on fifth, {K-Clubs} on sixth, and {10-Clubs} on seventh for king high as well.

Schneider's king-queen-jack bested Velador's king-queen-ten to give him a much needed pop.

Worst Card in the Deck for Matusow

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Action folded around to Mike Matusow in the small blind, and he raised it up. David Levi called, and the flop came down {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Matusow bet out, and Levi made the call. The same happened when the {2-Clubs} hit the turn, and the dealer put the {4-Hearts} out on the river. Matusow checked, and Levi committed the rest of his chips, which was less then a big bet. Matusow immediately shook his head, and let out a chuckle. He then flashed {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, saying "I know that's the nuts going to the river." He then said "worst river card ever," as he chucked his hand away, and Levi confirmed that, as he showed {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for a rivered flush and low.

Despite the hit, Matusow is still strong with 125,000, while Levy got some much needed chips to up his stack to 40,000.

Nut Nut for Negreanu

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

Daniel Negreanu opened the action for two bets, and George Danzer made it three bets. It folded back around to Negreanu, and he made the call. The flop came all low cards, {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and both players checked it. The turn brought the {10-Clubs}, and Negreanu fired out this time. Danzer called, and the same action occurred on the {j-Diamonds} river.

Negreanu announced "nut nut" and fanned out {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Danzer replied quickly with "good play," checked his hole cards, sent them to the dealer, and said to Negreanu, "you are too good". Negreanu got a laugh out of that as he scooped the pot to up his stack to 165,000, while Danzer fell down to 33,000.

Glantz Survives All In

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Stud-8

Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {x-}
Glantz: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} / {x-}
Opponent : {x-} / {8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} {FOLD} / {x-}

Matt Glantz brought in, and their other opponent completed. Mike Matusow made it three bets, and both players called. Matusow bet out on fourth street, and both players called. When he bet out on fifth, Glantz was the only one that stuck around. The rest of Glantz's chips were in the middle on sixth, and Matusow said that he had trip kings, showing the {k-Clubs}. Glantz showed {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and was drawing to an ace for trips, or to a low. Glantz simply said "I got it," and showed the {5-Hearts} for a seven low.
