Filippi Folds

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Andrey Zaichenko opened to 12,000 and Amnon Filippi made the call from the button. Both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop before Zaichenko bet out 16,000 when the turn landed the {2-Hearts}.

Filippi called, and when the river landed the {10-Diamonds} he was now faced with a 24,000-chip bet.

Filippi deliberated for a few moments before eventually folding his hand to relinquish the pot to the Russian.

Second Round of Payouts

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

The following players all collected $6,899 from the cashier's cage.

O'Shea Eliminates DeCruz

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

We didn't catch the action but we know that John DeCruz couldn't best John O'Shea in a recent pot and DeCruz was eliminated from the tournament.

As he was leaving the table, DeCruz told the table that this was his first tournament ever and that he read his first poker book on the way over during his plane ride.

He wished everyone the best of luck and went to the payout desk to collect his winnings.

Hachem Folds

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Zhen Cai opened to 10,500 and both Dylan Linde and Joe Hachem called from the button and big blind.

The flop of {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} saw Cai continue for 18,500, and once Linde folded, Hachem made the call as the {10-Spades} fell on the turn. Hachem checked, and after nearly two minutes, Cai pushed out a stack of chips amounting to 46,000 to put Hachem all in.

Hachem went deep into the tank for nearly three minutes before eventually laying his hand down.

"Have anything?"

"A pair and a draw!" responded Cai as he collected the pot to move to 315,000 in chips.
