O'Dea Quarters Opponent

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Facing a limp under the gun, Eoghan O'Dea limped next to act as both both blinds came along to see a {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop.

The original limper bet out 2,500 only to have O'Dea make it 9,500. The blinds passed but the limper pushed all in and O'Dea called for his 12,600.

O'Dea: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed the {5-Hearts} and {10-Clubs} to see O'Dea quarter his opponent and move to roughly 23,000 in chips.

Matusow Takes The Unlikely Scoop

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Action folded to a player on the button who opened the pot to 1,600. Mike Matusow called from the small blind and Steven Chidwick called from the big.

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and all three players checked to see the {A-Spades} on the turn. On the turn Matusow led out for 4,000 and was called by both players.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Matusow moved all in for a little over 10,000 chips. Chidwick instantly released his hand. The player on the button make the call though.

"I have a pair and the nut low," Matusow said opening his {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts}

"Wow," the player on the button said, attempting to muck his hand, but the dealer informed him that he would have to show. He was holding {2-}{2-}{4-}{7-} for a slightly worse pair, and a slightly worse low.

With that Matusow was able to scoop the pot and double up early here on Day 2.

"How'd you feel when he called?" Huck Seed asked Matusow from across the table.

"I felt like I was at least getting half the pot," Matusow said.

O'Dea Doubles

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Eoghan O'Dea raised all but 700 of his chip stack into the pot, and his lone opponent in the hand - Zorn Venture - obliged with a call before betting the 700 dark as the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop fell. O'Dea made the call and tabled his {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to be in the lead against Zenture's {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{A-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The turn and river landed the {Q-Spades} and {6-Diamonds} and O'Dea doubled to roughly 14,000 in chips.

Seed Stays Alive

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Huck Seed opened to the maximum of 2,800 from under the gun only to have Thomas Keller slide a stack out to put Seed all in. Seed obliged and the cards were tabled.

Seed: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Keller: {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to see Seed take the low and Keller the high with his flush.

Early Double Gets Zaichenko Rolling

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

It's unclear where all the money went in but when we came to the table, Andrey Zaichenko was holding {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} on a board of {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, giving him the nut straight with no low. Matt Woodward on the other end of the table was holding {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a losing two pair. There was a low possible on the board but since neither player held a low, Zaichenko scooped the pot.

"That's a good start for me," Zaichenko said as he began stacking his chips.
