Ivey Wins a Bit

Nível 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

Phil Ivey made it 500 from early position and only the big blind made the call. The big blind drew just one and Ivey asked for two. When the dealer was done giving both the players the cards they demanded, the big blind bet out 800. Ivey reluctantly called and showed his {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} with the same style when the big blind confessed he didn't have much.

One For Flack

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

Shawn Buchanan raised to 450 and Layne Flack called from the next seat over in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and Buchanan drew one while Flack took two.

Buchanan fired out 800 and Flack did not waste any time calling the bet, rolling over {Q-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Buchanan mucked his hand and Flack dragged in the pot.

Monnette Takes Down a 5 Way Pot with a Jack-Nine

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

Dee Tiller made it 400 under-the-gun, and we're pretty sure he hadn't looked at his cards yet at that time. It's a fun loving table and this hand was another example of that. Max Pescatori joined the fun and called the 400, and so did Michael Watson on the button, John Monnette in the small blind and David Williams in the big blind.

Dealer Andy would need a lot of cards for this one as Monnette requested one, Williams asked for three, Tiller needed two and so did Pescatori and Watson. Everybody checked and Tiller announced a jack-ten with a hopeful voice. Monette showed {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} though and that granted him the pot. Williams was still messing around with the dealer, accusing him with a big laugh that he had given him back exactly the same cards he drew.

Tiller Breaks The Winner and Still Wins

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

David Williams raised to 600 from under the gun and Dee Tiller three-bet to 2,600 from the next seat over. Action folded back to Williams who four-bet all in for 5,875 (with two lammers behind). Tiller gave it some thought before he called.

Williams stood pat, sending Tiller into the tank for about 30 seconds before he announced he was breaking a ten and drawing one. Williams announced he had a jack and Tiller tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-} before receiving his card, which he turned over quickly. It was a {7-}, giving Tiller the pot with an 8-7.

Williams cashed in one of his remaining two lammers.

Cheong Down Early

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

Joseph Cheong raised to 600 from early position and it folded around to the player in the big blind who three-bet to 2,500. Cheong called and drew one after his opponent stood pat.

Cheong's opponent tapped the table post-draw and Cheong wasted little time moving forward 5,300 in chips. His opponent mulled over a decision for about thirty seconds before moving out a call and showing {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}. Cheong mucked his hand and his opponent picked up the pot.

Cheong is now at just half of starting stack with 15,000 in chips.

Williamson III Makes a 9-8

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

After Yan Chen folded under-the-gun, it was Shawn Buchanan making it 400 to go. Nobody had trouble throwing their cards away but Robert Williamson III, who made the call from the big blind. Both drew one and Williamson III took a quick peek at his last card, before taking a glance at all of them together. He then bet out 750 and received a rather fast call from Buchanan. The latter could muck though, as Williamson III showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Brikis Stands Pat

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

From the hijack position it was Layne Flack, enjoying a massage in the meantime, raising it up to 450. Right next to him Josh Brikis made it 1,025 to go from the cut off. Calvin Anderson thought about if for a little bit but eventually decided to fold. Flack made the call though and drew one. Brikis stood pat and the last round of betting could start. There was in fact no betting though, and Flack announced he had paired up. Brikis showed his {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and took down the pot.

Slow Start For Turner

Nível 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

Jon Turner just registered and took his seat during the last break and he is off to a slow start here after a confrontation with Phil Galfond. Turner opened his button by making it 600 to go and Galfond flat called from the big blind.

Each player drew one card and Galfond led out for 1,200. Turner called but mucked his hand after Galfond fanned {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. Galfond dragged in the pot and now sits around 29,500 while Turner has fallen to 26,500 with two lammers still behind.
