Players are now on a one-hour dinner break. We're off to fill our bellies, so join us in 60 minutes as we look to play four more levels before bagging and tagging for the night.
The money went all in preflop between Alex Masek and David McMann.
Alex Masek:
McMann:
The board ran oout and the fours of McMann held to eliminate Masek.
Garry Gates raised it up to 8,000 in middle position, and Peter Males moved all in for his last 65,000 right behind him. It folded back around to Gates, and he thought for just under a minute or so before making the call.
Gates:
Males:
Gates was in great shape with his overpair, and he maintained that lead through the runout of . After collecting that pot, Gates is up there with the big stacks sitting on 236,000.

Jeff Izes opened for 9,500 from the hijack only to have Mark Waldrep move all in for about 32,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded and Izes made a quick call.
Waldrep:
Izes:
"You've got me," Waldrep said upon seeing his opponent's hand. His queen kicker had him in dire straits, and it wasn't looking good on the . The turn gave Waldrep a gutshot straight draw and some more chop outs, but the river would fail to deliver. Waldrep was felled in 69th place while Izes chipped up to over 200,000.

Action folded to Garry Gates in the cutoff and he raised to 7,000. Joe Elpayaa, who was on the button, responded by moving all in for 51,000, which prompted both blinds to fold. Gates then snap-called.
Gates:
Elpayaa:
Elpayaa seemed to know he was in trouble even before Gates tabled his hand. While that proved true, Elpayaa could still win with a little luck. The flop gave him a little help when it paired his three, but he would need either another or an ace to stay alive. The turn wasn't what he was looking for and neither was the river. Gates' jacks held and he sent Elpayaa to the rail in 72md place.
Meanwhile, WSOP bracelet winner Vincent van der Fluit was eliminated from the same table a short time later.
