Rettenmaier vs. Andrews

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Cherish Andrews raised to 425 from early position, and the only caller was Marvin Rettenmaier in the big blind. The flop was {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and both players checked. Rettenmaier then led out for 525 when the dealer turned the {5-Clubs}, and Andrews folded. "Mad Marvin" took the small pot.

Hui Doubles With the Nuts

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

As we were walking by the table that had Phillip Hui, a circuit grinder with two rings, we noticed that he had just moved all in for his last 4,425 facing a raise of 900 from his opponent. He ended up being called, and they were off to the races.

Hui: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Hui didn't pair up on the flop, but it still helped him out a ton, coming {9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Hui now had the nut flush draw, and he didn't have to wait long for it to come, as the {2-Spades} hit the turn, securing the hand for him. The river was the {j-Diamonds}, giving his opponent a useless set, and Hui double his stack up to 9,000.

Charania Doubles Short Stack

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Mohsin Charania was in the small blind and had called when the big blind pushed his short stack all in. Charania had {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and his opponent held {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. The board ran out {j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and with that Charnia doubled up his opponent. It was only a small sweat for Charania as he had 16,000 after the hand.

Cunningham Building his Stack

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Five-time bracelet winner Allen Cunningham entered this event late, but is already making his presence felt. After a preflop raise to 450 and one call, Cunningham called from the big blind, and the players took the flop three-handed. The dealer spread {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and the preflop raise bet out for 600. Both other players called. All three players checked the {2-Clubs} on the turn, and then Cunningham led out for 2,000 when the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river. The preflop raiser tanked for a minute, and eventually called, and the other player folded. Cunningham tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a straight, which was enough to win the pot.

On the very next hand, Cunningham raised from the small blind, and received no callers. He is now up to 8,800.

Balsiger Gets Opponent to Fold

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a board of {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} Jake Balsiger moved all in to contest for an already large pot. His opponent was not sure whether to call or not and went into the tank. He thought for two minutes before finally releasing his hand. Balsiger who is grinding his stack has one of the bigger stacks in the room with 19,500.
