Jake Cody’s opponent was showing two- sixes on fourth street, but opted to check-call a bet. Fifth street came, as he checked again, but beat Cody into the pot with his call.
“There’s no point wasting his time,” said Cody’s opponent, happy to check-call it down.
The same happened on sixth and seventh, before Cody tabled his down cards, having two-pair, which was good for the entire pot.
