Sokoloff vs. Mueller Round 2

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Greg "FBT" Mueller raised to 3,000 from middle position only to have Paul Sokoloff three-bet to 4,500 from the button. The blinds both folded and then Mueller made the call before checking in the dark. Sokoloff took the opportunity to bet in the dark, and after the flop fell {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}, Mueller called.

Mueller then check-called a bet of 3,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn before both players checked the {7-Spades} river. Sokoloff turned over the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks and it was good as Mueller flashed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} before mucking.

Action Card on the River

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} on the flop, Justin Smith checked, then raised when Mohsin Charania bet. Charania called, and the turn was the {q-Clubs}. Smith led out, and Charania called. Smith led out again when the {5-Spades} fell on the river, and this time Charania raised. Smith then re-raised, and Charania called the third bet. Smith revealed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Charania showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades}. Charania had rivered a flush, but Smith had flopped a set which improved to a full house on the river.

Mueller Straightens Out Sokoloff

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

With 4,500 or so in the pot and a flop of {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Paul Sokoloff checked from the big blind and Greg "FBT" Mueller bet 1,200. Sokoloff responded with a check-raise to 2,400 and then called when Mueller three-bet it to 3,600. Sokoloff proceeded to check-call bets on both the {6-Spades} turn and {6-Diamonds} river only to muck when Mueller rolled over the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a turned straight.

Queens Hold for Chan

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Terrence Chan raised from the button, and the only caller was Barry Greenstein in the big blind. Both players checked when the dealer spread {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} on the flop, and then Greenstein bet the {9-Diamonds} turn. Chan called, and both players checked the {9-Spades} on the river. Greenstein tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for flopped flush and straight draws, but neither draw got there. Chan turned over {q-}{q-} for an unimproved pair of queens, which was good enough to win the pot.

Cassidy Climbing

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

With the board reading {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Eric Froehlich checked, and Joe Cassidy bet. Froehlich called, and the turn brought the {5-Diamonds}. Froehlich again check-called Cassidy's bet, and the dealer revealed the river card, the {10-Clubs}. Froehlich checked, Cassidy bet, and Froehlich called. Cassidy turned over his hand, {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a flopped pair of sevens. Froehlich mucked, and Cassidy took the pot.

Cassidy has been slowly and steadily building his stack today, and now sits with 90,000.
