Mizrachi on the Grind

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Michael Mizrachi has used both of his lammer and is down to 4,100 chips in total. his situation was a little worse a short time ago, but he managed to win a pot on the flop.

Facing a 300 bet, Mizrachi three-bet to 1,050 and was called by the initial raiser. The flop fell {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and the action was checked to Mizrachi, who continued with an all-in bet of 1,700. Thirty seconds later, Mizrachi's opponent folded and Mizrachi showed him {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

Early Bath for Blain

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ireland's Dermot Blain has blasted through his 9,000 stack and is no longer competing for Event '35's bracelet.

Blain's former seat is empty and Ludovic Lacay has a massive stack of 21,000 in front of him. Putting two and two together (and hopefully not getting five) we can assume Lacay sent Blin to the showers during the last 10-15 minutes.

Duhamel Flops a Set

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

When we reached the table, Jonathan Duhamel and an opponent got all of the chips in the middle on a flop of {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The hands looked like this:

Duhamel: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Duhamel's set held as the turn and river came {5-Spades}, {5-Hearts} respectively, and was shipped the pot. The 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion now has 15,000 chips, which includes one lammer.

Split Pot for Silver

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Max Silver's day hasn't been going too great so far and he has just had to contend with a split pot.

The chips went in on a {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Silver holding {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}{4-Spades} for top pair and the nut flush draw, his opponent the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of aces. The turn and river were the {J-Spades} and {Q-Spades}, improving both players to a straight and splitting the pot.

McNeil Looking to do a "Schneider"

2013 WSOP Event 20 Gold Bracelet Winner Calen McNeil
2013 WSOP Event 20 Gold Bracelet Winner Calen McNeil

Tom "Donkey Bomber" Schneider won his second WSOP bracelet within a week — both in H.O.R.S.E events — and now Calen McNeil is looking to emulate him.

McNeil took down Event #20, the $1,500 Omaha Hi/Low-8 or Better tournament and is now taking part in the $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha tournament.

McNeil has a couple of cashes on PLO events at the WSOP, his best performance being an 11th place finish in the 2008 edition of the $1,500 buy-in event. Can he improve on that finish in the $3,000 buy-in? Only time will tell.

Speaking of Schneider, he is part of the 547 players who have bought in today.
