World Series of Poker bracelet winner Erick Lindgren raised from middle position and Steve Sung defended from the big blind. After the flop came down , Sung check-called a bet and then both players checked the turn.
Sung took the opportunity to fire out a bet on the river, and Lindgren responded by raising it up. Sung thought for well over a minute and looked at times as if he was going to call, but eventually he settled on a fold. Lindgren then flashed a before dropping his cards in the muck.
We arrived at the table in time to find Allen Kessler lead out against two opponents on a board. Kessler fired a bet on the flop and once again on the turn when the fell. All three checked the river and Kessler showed for pocket aces and an ace-five low.
Unfortunately for the Chainsaw, one player showed for two pair to take the high, and the other held for the nut low. Kessler threw his hands up in the air as he watched his chips chopped up between two other players at the table. Kessler is now down to about 40,000.
Thanks to seven cashes at the 2013 World Series of Poker thus far, Dan Kelly currently sits second on the WSOP Player of the Year leader board behind Daniel Negreanu. Both men are still alive in this field, and they no doubt have high hopes of adding to their totals.

Dan Kelly: / /
Eric Wasserson: / /
After a player had brought it in with the , Kelly completed and Eric Wasserson raised. The bring-in folded, Kelly called and it was heads-up action to fourth street. Kelly proceeded to call a bet, as he did on fifth, before both players checked sixth. They did the same on seventh and Wasserson tabled for queens and fours. It was good as Kelly sent his hand to the muck.
We caught up on fourth street to find David Bach bet out and David Williams call. Bach bet once more on fifth street and Williams cut out a raise. Bach called.
Williams took the lead on sixth street with another bet and then once again on seventh. Bach peeked at his river card and then finally opted to throw away his hand and not call the final bet.
Williams showed for jacks full of sevens as he dragged in the pot. Williams now has about 56,000 in chips.
We mentioned earlier that Dan Kelly and Daniel Negreanu are still in this event and sit second and first respectively on the 2013 World Series of Poker Player of the Year leader board. We've also got quite a few past WSOP POY champs in the field including Jeff Madsen, Tom Schneider, Erick Lindgren and Jeff Lisandro.
Say what you will about the POY, but the races seem to get more intense and the prestige rises each year.
We caught up with the action to find Nacho Barbero and Max Pescatori heads up on a flop of . Pescatori checked and Barbero fired out a bet. Pescatori called to find the drop down on the turn. Once again it was checked and once again Barbero fired out. Pescatori stuck around.
The river was the and Pescatori check-called one final bet. Barbero showed for ace-king and an eighty six. Pescatori flashed before mucking his hand. Barbero scooped up the pot and now has extended his chip stack up to about 123,000.
