Ramdin Doubles

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Victor Ramdin tweeted that he wanted to double quickly after the break. And so he did. He had already gained some chips to climb up to 99,000, and just doubled that stack after four bet pushing preflop. His opponent made the call with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} and they had a race on their hands as Ramdin showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. An ace popped up right on the flop and the jacks stayed in the deck: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades} | {6-Spades} | {5-Hearts}.

Kevin Artman Out

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kevin Artman started the day with just 1,300 in chips. That was just 100 more than one big blind but he kept doubling and surviving. Just now Victor Ramdin busted him but Artman left with a big smile, happy with his accomplishment it seemed. He finished in 57th or 56th place, giving him $6,075, better than the $2,640 he would have gotten would he had busted at the beginning of the day.

Mohsin Charania Cruising/Crushing

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In back to back hands Mohsin Charania picked up a lot of chips. The first of the two hands we picked up from the turn where there was {3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} | {8-Clubs} on the table. The small blind checked and called as Charania bet 14,500 from the big blind. The river was the {7-Spades} and this time the small blind check called 39,500. Charania showed {9-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the nuts and took down the pot.

While he was still busy stacking his chips (in stacks of ten high, for those interested) Charania limped in from the small blind after everyone had folded to him. Cy Watson in the big blind made it 13,000 and Charania made the call. Charania check-called 11,000 on {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and both players checked the {Q-Clubs} on the turn. The river brought out the {A-Hearts} and Charania checked to his opponent. Watson took the bait and bet out, but mucked as soon as Charania snap called and showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Ramdin Rivers Straight Flush

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We walked up to the table in time to see the dealer put the turn card out on a board that showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. There was about 35,000 in the middle, and both Ramdin and his opponent checked to see the scary looking {8-Diamonds} hit the river. Ramdin's opponent tanked for about 30 seconds before checking, and Ramdin immediately grabbed chips and started shuffling them. Eventually, he tossed 27,000 in the middle, and his opponent thought for just a few moments before calling.

Ramdin rolled over {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight flush, and his opponent shook his head before mucking his hand. After that hand, Ramdin is up to 280,000.

Kings Versus Ace King

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Robert Brewer opened to 6,500 from early position and Mohsin Charania made the call from the small blind. Cy Watson came along from the big blind and the three of them saw a flop: {J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Both blinds checked to Brewer who made a 12,000 continuation bet. Charania was the only one calling and the EPT Grand Final winner check called another 21,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Charania checked for a third time. Brewer bet out 24,000 and got a call from Charania. Brewer showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and he took down the pot. Charania showed his {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and took the hit. "That could have been ugly" Brewer said. Charania just smirked.

Wasicka Folds His Set

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

By the time we arrived the entire board was already out: {10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades} | {8-Clubs} | {2-Diamonds}. Wasicka had checked from the cutoff and his opponent on the button had pushed for 63,500. Wasicka was thinking about it hard. He only had 88,000 left so this was for most of his stack. The pot was already pretty big, though we could not count how big it was exactly.

The hand had started in level 16 but the new level was more than ten minutes underway already. This was a big hand, and a big decision. Eventually Wasicka grabbed his cards, took one more look at them and threw them open in the muck: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.
