The big blind bet 10,500 into a board of and Niccolò Caramatti called. The big blind checked the turn and faced a 11,000 bet from Caramatti. The big blind eventually folded and Caramatti is staying active and keeping the pressure on his opponents.
Action folded around to Darryll Fish on the button who moved all in with . He was called by the big blind who was in the lead with and had Fish covered.
The board came giving Fish a straight on the river for the much needed double up.
The Series got off to a good start with a 3rd place finish in Event #2: $ 5,000 No Limit Hold'em - 8 Handed for $ 215,286. Let's see how far he can go here.
After an open to 4,500 by a player having 51,000 in chips, a call (110,000 in chips) and another call (75,000 in chips), Ryan Wince just boldly pushed all in for about 160,000 from the small blind. We're not sure what we missed but we don't see shoves that big every day. It worked out for Wince though who got everybody to fold.
A hand later he isolated a player and then checked the hand down with pocket sevens. His opponent had a straight with six seven but that didn't cost Wince more than 5,500 in chips. So far so good for Wince who's having a good day so far.
Josh Field has just left the tournament 75th place for $3,457. Not long after posting his double up hand, Darryll Fish has hit the rail as well. Fish got the same amount of dollars for his 74th place.
We were standing by and then heard players shouting, "All in" followed by "All in", followed by "All in". That was three players announcing they were all in. Two of the players were the very well dressed Daniel Brickwell and Adam Sanders. Brickwell had the other two covered and was in dominating position when they flipped up the hands.
Brickwell:
Sanders:
Other Opponent:
Brickwell was even more dominating when he flopped the nut straight with . The whole table started getting excited when the came on the turn. That gave Sanders a flush draw and the other opponent the nut straight as well. The river was the unbelievable . That gave Sanders the comeback straight, eliminating the other opponent and gave him a massive amount of chips. He sits now with 155,000. Brickwell with that bad beat has dipped down to 78,000.
Dennis Beres, our chip leader mid-day yesterday, was all in for his stack with against Ryan Austin's . The board came and Austin's aces hold to eliminate Beres in 71st place.
We came to the table as Daniel Idema was stacking chips and raised to 5,000 from the cutoff. The big blind called and we saw the flop.
Both players checked and they also checked the turn.
The big blind checked the river but the checking stopped there. Idema reached for some yellow chips (13,000) and placed them in the middle. The big blind called and Idema tabled and his opponent's cards went into the muck.
On a board of James Epner with the nuts of got his opponent to call all in with . Epner's opponent needed to catch runner-runner flush or a jack to chop and that did not happen on the turn and on the river. That gave Epner a nice pot and he is way up to 220,000.
