Event #15: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.
Dia 2 Iniciado
Yesterday this event started with 862 players. Only 177 return today to compete for the $258,960 first prize. Only 96 players make the money, so about half the remaining field will walk away from this tournament empty-handed.
John Seaman leads the field entering day two with 62,600 chips. His lead is far from safe, however, as tournament veteran and four-time bracelet winner David Chiu is right on his tail with 62,200. There are plenty of other notables returning today who will make it difficult for Seaman and Chiu to stay ahead. David Bach, who won the 2009 WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, sits with 27,700. Andy Bloch, who finished second in that event in 2006, has 47,900. They are joined by Dan Kelly (23,200), Kathy Liebert (19,000), and last year’s Main Event runner-up Jesse Sylvia (51,200).
Cards will be in the air in about fifteen minutes. Stay with us here at Pokernews.com for updates throughout today’s play.

"Miami" John Cernuto raised pre-flop, and Andrew Brown, seated directly to Cernuto's left, re-raised. Cernuto made the call and the two players saw the flop fall . Cernuto checked, Brown bet, then Cernuto reluctantly folded, turning two of his hold cards face up to show a pair of kings.

On 6th street, John Regan bet out with a board reading , and Mikail Tulchinsky called showing . Regan bet out again on the river, and Tulchinsky again called. Regan turned over for a wheel, and Tulchinsky mucked.
A player not in the hand seemed to think that Regan had deliberately turned over his jack first to give the impression he only had jack-high. Tulchinsky, though, stayed away from any criticism of his opponent.

We found Roger Houston and Dan Heimiller involved in an exciting pot. Heimiller was all in, and Houston had all but 400 of his chips in the middle.

Houston turned over his last card: to pull ahead with better trips. Heimiller needed to fill up or his tournament was over. He rolled over a , and he pumped his fist as he had indeed caught what he needed.
"Wow," a player at the table said. "I don't think I've ever said 'wow' to a stud hand."
Houston busted shortly after.
