According to Tim Duckworth, Jeff Madsen got the last of his chips in with {a-}{j-} against {a-}{9-} after an ace and a nine flopped. He didn't improve his hand, and his tournament is over.

Greenstein Out...and Some Stacks Growing

Nível 8

The seat where Barry Greenstein had been is now occupied by someone else. It appears he has busted.

Elsewhere in the room, some large stacks are growing. Bill "Bumpereno" Munley, a mixed games specialist from Pennsylvania, is up to 23,000, and a young man who introduced himself as "MJ the Great" sits with 38,000.

Dan Kelly Getting Short

Nível 8

Stud

On 3rd street, a player completed with the {7-Diamonds} and Dan Kelly ({7-Hearts}) and Joe Kuether ({k-Diamonds}) both called. Kuether bet out on fourth street after receiving the {6-Diamonds}, and both his opponents called. Kelly paired his board on 6th street with the {7-Clubs}, and he led out. Kuether folded, and his other opponent called. Here's how their boards looked on sixth street:

Kelly: {7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Kelly checked his pair, his opponent bet, and Kelly tanked for about a minute before folding. He's now down to only 3,000 chips.

Nível 7
Jeff Lisandro scooped the pot.
Jeff Lisandro scooped the pot.

Stud Eight or Better

We found Jeff Lisandro all in for the last of his chips with {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} against an opponent with {2-}{2-}{8-}. Lisandro's board after six cards: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. He already had the low locked up since his opponent hadn't improved his deuces and had an eight-seven.

"One pair," Lisandro's opponent said after seeing his last card. Lisandro turned over another jack to scoop the pot.

Hennigan Regains Some Chips

Nível 7

Omaha Eight or Better

After one player limped, the small blind called and John Hennigan raised from the big blind. Both other players called, and they saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The small blind led out, and both Hennigan and the other opponent called. On the {2-Hearts} turn, the small blind led out again, but this time only Hennigan made the call. The small blind bet again on the {4-Clubs} river card, and this time Hennigan raised. His opponent called, and Hennigan showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts} for a pair of fours for high and an 8-low, good enough to scoop the pot.

Johnny World is now back up to 23,000.

Brunson Up and Down

Nível 7

Stud Eight or Better

Todd Brunson was low on chips when the players returned from dinner break. He's done a good job of battling back, but recently took a hit to his stack.

He came to the table on 5th street. Brunson checked showing {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, and his opponent bet with {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Brunson called, and the action repeated itself on 6th street. Both players checked the river, and it was time for a showdown:

Brunson: {x-}{x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}/{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The pair of queens was good enough to win, and Brunson's stack is back down to 4,500.

Bloch's Two Pair Better

Nível 7

Stud Eight or Better

A player completed from early position with an eight, and Andy Bloch raised it with a three. His opponent called. Bloch kept firing as he caught a couple of low card, and his opponent kept calling, until Bloch checked seventh street and then called.

Bloch: {a-}{3-}{x-}/{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-}{9-}{a-}/{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Bloch's aces up took the whole pot.
