Erick Lindgren (from Day 1)
Erick Lindgren (from Day 1)

Action folded to the button who moved all in for his final 25,000 with {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Eric Lindgren was contemplating the call and eventually did with {q-Spades}{3-Spades}. The board fell {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Lindgren is pushed some much needed chips.

Diaz Eliminated

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

David Diaz moved all in from middle position with his last 29,500. Janette Zawacki, who happens to be our last woman in the field called from the cutoff. Diaz's {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} was behind to Zawacki's {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. The board came {4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Zawacki's set eliminates Diaz from the tournament.

Hawkins Doubles

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We just caught a huge double up for Maurice Hawkins as he's now over the 200,000 chip mark.

On a board of {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}, the player first to act checked to Hawkins who made a bet of 24,000. Action was back on the first player who moved all in with a covering stack. Hawkins immediately called and showed his {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The other player showed {A-}{A-} and Hawkins just needed to fade an {A-} on the river to double up. He did just that when the dealer burned and turned over the {4-Spades} and after that double he's sitting pretty with chips aplenty.

We Have A New Chip Leader

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We didn't see how this man came across all these new found chips, but it appears as if he has taken some from one of the previous chip leaders Alan Keating.

Our new chip leader's name is Patrick Kubat and he's above the 400k mark.

Lindgren Losing Some Chips

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Erick Lindgren opened from the cutoff to 6,000. Jonathan Taylor made it 14,000 from the button and the blinds folded.

Lindgren check called 12,000 on a {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop. Both players checked the {3-Clubs} turn and Lindgren checked the {2-Clubs} river. Taylor made it 21,000 and Lindgren took some time before putting in the chips to make the call. Taylor showed {A-Spades}{j-Clubs} for two pair and Lindgren mucked his hand.

Makhija Trades Some Back to Dobson

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Benjamin Dobson and Amit Makhija are just trading chips back and forth. They were just recently involved in yet another tangle.

With a board of {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} Makhija checked to Dobson who made a bet of 37,000. Makhija thought about it for a while before making the call.

The river was the {6-Spades} and Makhija checked again. This time Dobson, with his hands shaking, made a bet of 68,000. Makhija didn't take long at all to let go of his hand.

Hanks Takes Some From Crane

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On a board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, Russell Crane made a bet of 19,500 into Brent Hanks. Hanks made the call and the dealer burned and dealt the {7-Spades} on the river.

This time Crane checked the action over to Hanks. Hanks took a few moments to count out chips, making a bet of 32,000. Crane thought about it briefly before tossing his cards into the muck.

Makhija Takes A Nice Pot

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A raise from the player in the hijack started a calling fest with Amit Makhija, in the cutoff, Ben Dobson, on the button, and the big blind calling to see a flop.

The big blind checked the {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop and the hijack continued for 11,000. Makhija and Dobson called the bet.

The {j-Clubs} turn slowed the hijack down and he and Makhija both checked to Dobson who bet 24,000. Only Makhija called and we saw a {10-Hearts} river. Both Makhija and Dobson checked with Makhija showing {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for two pair and Dobson sent his cards into the muck.
