Jejelowo Doubles Through Witek

A.J. Jejelowo
A.J. Jejelowo

A.J. Jejelowo opened for 55,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Francis Witek, who three-bet to 155,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Jejelowo made the call for a heads-up pot.

The flop came {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Jejelowo checked to Witek, who c-bet for 175,000. Jejelowo then check-raised to 375,000. Witek tanked for a bit and then announced he was all in. Jejelowo quickly called all in for approximately 1.3 million and hands were revealed.

Showdown:

Witek: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for an overpair.
Jejelowo: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a set of deuces.

Jejelow was in great shape to double up, and did just that as the turn and river came {6-Diamonds} and {3-Diamonds} respectively.

Witek was knocked down to his last 80,000 as a result of the hand.

Milliron Runs Out of Options

Gregory Milliron was all in preflop for right around 540,000 and in bad shape against Jacob Balsiger.

Showdown

Milliron{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Balsiger{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

"Hearts," Milliron pleaded in the hopes of increasing his outs. The dealer did not oblige with a single one on the {2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. "Five and three," Milliron tried referencing a runner-runner straight possibility. Again, his request fell on deaf ears as the dealer burned and turned the {A-Diamonds}.

That meant Milliron needed a six on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {Q-Hearts}, a blank that spelled the end for Milliron.

Israelashvili Calls Koroknai's Shove, Survives

With the board showing {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and a pot already having developed, Roland Israelashvili checked, Andras Koroknai bet 125,000, Israelshvili raiesd to 275,000, Koroknai shoved all in, and Israelshvili called for 690,000 total.

Koroknai had {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of sevens with a flush draw, while Israelshvili held {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a set of queens. The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, completing a full house for Israelshvili and making the river {J-Spades} no matter.

Two Good Hands for Thomas; Ayani Out

We came on preflop raising war in progress between Wilfried Haerig and Russell Thomas in which it appeared Haerig had started things with a late position raise, Thomas had reraised from the blinds, Haerig had pumped it up again, and eventually Haerig was reraising once more to 410,000 total. Thomas thought a moment, declared he was all in for well over a million, and Haerig instantly folded.

Thomas flipped over one card before dragging the pot — the {3-Diamonds}! — provoking a reaction from the table.

On the very next hand, Raphael Ayani open-pushed his short stack from middle position, and when it folded to Thomas on the button he called. Ayani had {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}, while this time Thomas had picked up a hand he was representing on the previous one — {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Ayani hit the rail.

Zhao Loses Half Her Stack, Then Doubles

Jason Somerville was recently added to the featured table lineup, and he jumped right into the action, raising to 50,000 in the cutoff. Susie Zhao was in the small blind, and she three bet to 130,000. Gwennael Grandmougin moved all in from the big blind for 554,000, and it was back to Somerville. He folded, and Zhao thought for about a minute before making the call.

Grandmougin: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Zhao: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Zhao was in a world of hurt, but she caught help on the flop, which came {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Neither player held a heart, and Zhao was looking for more paint to come. However, the turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and the river came the {3-Hearts}.

That knocked Zhao down to 445,000 while Grandmougin doubled to 1.167 million.

Two hands later, Somerville raised to 50,000 again, and Zhao moved all in for 442,000. It folded to Nick DiVella in the small blind, and he made the call. Somerville folded, and Zhao was in trouble.

DiVella: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Zhao: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Zhao would need a ton of help, and she caught none on the flop, which came {6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. Zhao was drawing very thin but she caught a miracle {8-Spades} on the turn. Now it was DiVella looking for the two outer, and the river was paint, but it was the {k-Hearts}.

Zhao jumped back up to 940,000, while DiVella took a hit, dropping to 1.164 million.

Israelashvili Doubles With Aces

Roland Israelashvili made it 50,000 to go from under the gun and it folded all the way around the table to Timothy Adams in the small blind. Adams three-bet to 150,000 and Israelashvili announced that he was all in. Adams called but was not happy when Israelashvili rolled over his hand.

Israelashvili: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Adams: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board came {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Israelashvili was able to double up to about 840,000 in chips.

Merson Making a Comeback

Prior to dinner we told reported a hand that left Greg Merson with just 50,000 in chips. It seemed as if he was on elimination's doorstep, but it appears now as if now one answered that knock as he has chipped up to 780,000.

In a recent hand, Merson opened for 55,000 from the hijack only to have Alban Juen three-bet to 117,000 from the big blind. Merson immediately announced he was all in, and Juen instantly flicked his cards to the muck. With that, Merson has chipped back up to 780,000 and back into contention.

Ausmus Doubles Through Saeed On Cooler Flop

Action started with Jeremy Ausmus raising to 51,000 in early position. Omar Saeed was next to act, and he made the call. Everyone else folded, and they went heads up to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Ausmus bet 65,000, and the fireworks went off. Saeed raised it up to 175,000, and Ausmus clicked it back to 365,000. Saeed responded by moving all in, and Ausmus snap called for his last 750,000. It was obvious that both players hit the flop hard, and when the cards were tabled, that was confirmed.

Ausmus: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Saeed: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Saeed had flopped top set, but he was well behind the straight of Ausmus. Saeed would need the board to pair to win the hand, but the board completed with low cards, coming {4-Spades} and {7-Hearts}.

Ausmus collected the pot, upping his stack to 2.183 million, while Saeed drops down to 1.376 million.

Haerig Bests Robbins

We caught up with action on a {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} board, where Wilfried Haerig was heads-up against Jamie Robbins.

Robbins led out for 90,000 from the big blind position and Haerig called to see the river, which brought the {8-Clubs}.

This time, Robbins opted to check. Haerig then placed a few orange chips on top of one of his orange stacks and pushed it into the middle for a 120,000 bet. Robbins flashed {A-}{K-} and mucked.

Robbins is down to 1,450,000.
