The first of two starting days of the World Series of Poker Circuit €1,650 Main Event at King's Casino in Rozvadov attracted a field of 251 entries, of which 16 players took advantage of the single reentry option per day and fired two bullets. After 12 levels of 45 minutes each, 95 players bagged up chips and advanced to Day 2 on Sunday.

EPT Vienna champion Michael Eiler bagged up 248,600 in chips and edged out 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Paul Michaelis for the chip lead. Michaelis also came close to a second bracelet at the WSOP Europe in Berlin a few weeks ago, but finished third in an event won by Makarios Avramidis.

Other notables to finish Day 1a with above-average stacks included Vadim Markushevski (226,100), Aleksandr Nemcov (212,000), WSOP Circuit Rozvadov gold ring winner Miltiadis Kyriakides (134,600), and 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Vasili Firsau (130,800).

Hossein Ensan (126,600), Petr Jelinek (121,200), Andrew Leathem (82,800), [Removed:480] (77,900), Thomas Butzhammer (40,000), Anthony Ghamrawi (34,500), Lasse Frost (33,800), Michal Polchlopek (31,700), and WSOP Circuit Rozvadov ring winner Theodoros Aidonopoulos (31,500) will be among the shorter stacks for the penultimate tournament day.

Notables that didn't make it through on the first bullet included Ronny Voth, Erich Kollmann, Marcin Wydrowski, Surinder Sunar, Scott Hanna, and Claus Carlsen.

Everyone that failed to claim a stack thus far or are unhappy with their overnight count can play again on Day 1b and then carry over the bigger stack to increase their chances at taking home a portion of the €1 million guaranteed prize pool.

The second starting day gets underway at 14:00 local time on Saturday and the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be back at the tables then to cover an expected bumper field.

Three Hands Left

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The tournament director just announced with 10 minutes remaining on the clock that there will be three more hands per table played before players can bag and tag for the night. There are currently 106 players left from the original 251-entrant field.

Michael Eiler Up to 235K

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Among the top five in chip stacks is Michael Eiler with 235,000 chips. In a recent hand he flopped a flush with {K-Spades}{J-Spades} on a {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} board. After some back and forth betting on the flop, Eiler scoops up a huge 120,000 chip pot against his opponent's two-pair holding {5-}{2-}.

Huge Pot for Aleksandr Nemcov

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Aleksandr Nemcov
Aleksandr Nemcov

With about 10,000 chips on the flop, Aleksandr Nemtcov was bet all-in on a flop of {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} after he three-bet. Nemcov called with {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight-flush draw. His opponent was hoping for a fold instead of a call showing just ace-high with {a-}{9-}. The turn helped neither player, and a {4-Clubs} came on the river, giving Nemcov one of his many outs to propel himself among the chip leaders.
