Ederoua Flops Trips

Nível 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

El Mostafa Ederoua raised from the button and Iker Lanza called in the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Lanza check-called Ederoua's bet of 700, and then did the same on the {3-Diamonds} turn. The river was the {8-Hearts} and Lanza checked. Ederoua checked behind quickly, perhaps scared of the flush getting there, but Lanza merely had {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts} whilst Ederoua had flopped trips with {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Tadini Talks his Way to a Pot

Nível 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

It transpires that Anas Tadini, one of the most talkative players in the tournament, is taking English lessons to make him even more talkative. "I'm learning English, because I'm going to Las Vegas. I'm going to win this tournament and go to Las Vegas." Tadini has obviously heard that the winner not only wins a WSOP Circuit gold ring, but a ticket to the 2016 WSOP Circuit Global Championship; an invitation-only tournament with a minimum prize pool of $1,000,000 USD.

Tadini is going the right way about it. He won a pot three-betting against an early position opener, and then took a pot down on the river on a board of {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. "I thought we were going to chop," he said, showing {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Up and Down For Pecheux

Nível 5 : 100/200, 25 ante
Erwann Pecheux in action on Day 1b
Erwann Pecheux in action on Day 1b

It's been a funny couple of days for Frenchman Erwann Pecheux. First he called an overbet on a board of {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} only to be met by the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of Pieyre Maggi.

Then, saw a flop of {J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Clubs} with Nicolas Reneric. Both players checked and Pecheux bet roughly half pot on the turn which was the {A-Clubs}. The river was the {8-Clubs} and Pecheux checked. Luckily for him his opponent checked behind, and Pecheux tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Luckily for Pecheux, Reneric didn't have a club and mucked {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} face up.

So it was a tricky couple of hands for Pecheux, but he's still above average stack which currently sits at around 33,500

Lalwani Gets Aces

Nível 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Rakesh Lalwani is still hanging around. After his bet of 2,200 got raised to 5,800 on a board of {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, Lalwani ramped up the pressure and moved all in. His opponent folded and he tapped the table in approval, showing {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and scooping the pot. That puts him above average chips

Souaid With the River Call

Nível 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Karim Souaid pumped his fist and scooped a pot of chips after calling on the river and being right. His opponent had gone all-in for 13,000 chips into a 20,000 chip pot on a board which read {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Souaid went deep into the tank and thought before making the call, tabling {K-Spades}{5-Spades} which not only beat his opponents hand of {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} but knocked them out of the tournament

Evrard Doubles Up

Nível 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board read {3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Evrard just called a bet of just over half pot and saw the {9-Hearts} on the river along with two other players. With the pot now well over 30,000 chips, it was checked to Evrard who shoved for his remaining 5,450 chips. It was a trivial call for his opponent, but the chips were heading to Evrard who showed {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. His opponents cards {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} were quickly shown but headed straight for the muck as Evrard moved up the leaderboard
