Loosli Bullies Black

A player raised to 800 and Sylvain Loosli called from the button after which Taylor Black three-bet from the small blind to 2,800. The initial raiser folded, and Loosli thought for a while before making the call.

Eugene Katchalov couldn't get anything going, and we asked Sylvain Loosli what happened to Ukrainian pro who was seated at his table not too long ago.

"He just lost a whole bunch of pots," Loosli said, "And he got his last nine big blinds into the pot with tens."

Loosli continued, "He got called by eights, and there was an eight on the flop."

Buaumann Doesn't Hold Back

Our WPT colleagues just caught Gaelle Baumann doubling up after she entered the tournament late, and here's how the action went.

Baumann raised before the flop to 300 and after a player three-bet, another made it 1,900 to go. Baumann came back over the top for 5,400 and only one player called, creating a heads-up pot on a flop of .

Baumann bet 4,900 on the flop and after a long period of tanking, her opponent moved all in for about 20,000 chips. Baumann made the call showing and she was up against .

Baumann needed help, and the turn did just that as the popped up. The river brought the and Baumann secured an early double up.
