Martirosian Falls in Two Hands

Artur Martirosian just busted for the second time today after losing back-to-back hands to Santhosh Suvarna and Sam Greenwood.

In the first hand, Pieter Aerts raised to 3,500 in the hijack and Suvarna three-bet to 13,000 in the cutoff. Martirosian four-bet to 35,000 in the big blind and Suvarna called.

The flop came J♠10♣6♥ and Martirosian bet 25,000. Suvarna called to see the 3♣ turn, where Martirosian bet another 50,000. Suvarna again called.

Both players checked the 2♦ river and Martirosian showed 8♠8♥. Suvarna turned over A♥10♠ for a pair of tens to take the pot.

The next hand, Viktor Kudinov raised to 4,000 in the cutoff, Sam Greenwood three-bet to 14,000 on the button, and Martirosian four-bet to 37,000 in the small blind. Kudinov folded, while Greenwood moved all in and Martirosian called for 164,000.

Martirosian was racing for his tournament life, but the Q♦Q♣5♥ flop proved a disaster as Greenwood made a full house. The rest of the board ran out 6♠7♠ and Martirosian was sent to the rail again.

Maue Takes From Ausmus on the River

The flop came Q♠Q♣4♠ and Ausmus continued for 7,500. Maue called and both players checked the 5♣ turn.

Maue led out for 50,000 on the 4♣ river and Ausmus called. Maue turned over K♣J♣ for a flush and Ausmus mucked.

The flop came 9♣8♠3♣ and Yan bet 25,000. Schulman called to see the 7♦ turn, where Schulman led out for 30,000. Yan then moved all in for 123,000 and Schulman called.

Schulman had 10♦9♦ for top pair and a straight draw, but Yan had J♥10♥ for the turned straight. The river was the Q♥ and Yan doubled up.

Danchev Bets Big Against Bonomo

Dimitar Danchev and Justin Bonomo built a pot of around 40,000 as they went heads-up to the 8♣6♥3♣ flop.

Danchev then bet 25,000 from the small blind and Bonomo called on the button. The turn was the 2♥ and Danchev fired out 75,000.

Bonomo took a minute but eventually decided to fold as Danchev took down the pot.

The turn landed the 2♠ and Heung slowed down with a check. Minko bet 8,000 and Heung elected to surrender his hand.

Kulev had around 40,000 remaining and took a minute before calling with A♥Q♠. Kim showed A♣J♦ for top pair and took the pot to send Kulev to the rail.
