WSOP Paradise
WSOP Paradise

Welcome to Day 1a of Event #3: $25,000 GGMillion$ High Roller Championship at the 2023 World Series of Poker Paradise. Cards go in the air at 2 p.m. local time at Atlantis Resort for the first of two opening flights.

The jumbo buy-in will feature a $10,000,000 guarantee with a rarely-seen-at-this-price second starting flight on Wednesday, December 6. The surviving players from both opening flights will meet again on Thursday, December 7, for Day 2 and the tournament will conclude with Friday’s Day 3.

Several prolific high rollers have been seen roaming the halls so far at WSOP Paradise, including Nick Schulman, Jesse Lonis, Daniel Negreanu, and WSOP Main Event winner Ryan Riess. Lonis has been a dominating force on the high-roller scene in 2023 and it’s expected that he will jump in this one along with most of the other high rollers that have made the trip.

Brewer Puts Ghionoiu Under Pressure

Nível 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read K89 with 11,000 in the middle.

Four players checked to see the 7 on the turn. It was checked to Chris Brewer in the under-the-gun position, who opted to bet 3,000. Joao Vieira folded on the button, but Daniel Ghionoiu called from the small blind while Justin Saliba folded his big blind.

The river completed the board with the 2, and Ghionoiu fired a bet of 6,000 out. Brewer considered his options for a bit before putting in a bet of 200,000. Ghionoiu needed a few seconds before letting this pot go to Brewer.

Action was three ways with over 25,000 in the middle and 10875 on the board when action checked to Espen Jorstad on the button for a bet of 19,000. Oktay Koeysu tossed in the chips to call from the blinds and Thomas Muehloecker got out of the way.

The river was K and Koeysu checked. Jorstad tossed out 42,000 and Koeysu used a time bank before he tossed in a chip to call. Jorstad showed 87 for two pair and Koeysu tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Accused Private Poker Game Cheater: "I Didn't Bring Any Cards Anywhere"

Nível 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

One day after being accused of cheating a California home game out of millions, Tony Mars issued a statement to PokerNews denying the allegations.

Wesley Fei and Nikhil "Nik Airball" Arcot, both Hustler Casino Live regulars, claim that Mars, who also plays on HCL, brought a special UV-marked deck that allowed him to decipher face-down cards.

The alleged scandal occurred in a game at a private residence in Yorba Linda, California, a community in Orange County.
