Josh Arieh Eliminated in 8th Place ($31,700)

Nível 21 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh was sweating the Main Event final table with Matt Glantz involved and joked "I don't really care about this one ... maybe later," when returning to his second as the shortest stack and in the big blind.

In the very first hand, it folded all the way to James Casement and he potted to 90,000 in the small blind.

Arieh spread his four cards and said "unless it's trips, I gonna be all-in" and then moved all-in, Casement called.

Josh Arieh: K1097
James Casement: KK98

"I mean ... how?" Arieh sighed when his cards were less live than he had been hoping for.

The K75 flop left him in rough shape, needing a six or running cards to survive. One potential combo came with the Q turn but the 10 river ended his run in 8th place for $31,700. He also takes home a $25,000 Parlay bonus courtesy of GGPoker.

Anisimov Takes From Haxton

Nível 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In the first hand after the final table redraw, Yuriy Anisimov opened to 50,000 and Isaac Haxton defended the big blind. They checked the AKQ flop and Haxton checked the Q turn as well. Anisimov bet 35,000 for Haxton to call and they headed to the 5 river.

Haxton checked again and Anisimov bet the pot for 205,000. It appeared that Haxton had exactly as many chips behind, tank-folding after some consideration. No major action took place in the hand thereafter, sending the final eight on a scheduled 10-minute break.

The T-1,000 chips will now be raced off.

Stefan Lehner Eliminated in 9th Place ($26,400)

Stefan Lehner

With the unofficial final table set thanks to the elimination of Jeffrey Trudeau, there was some confusion on the other table as they had started the hand at the same time. Stefan Lehner, Isaac Haxton and Josh Arieh all inquired whether or not they would split the pay jump.

Once that was confirmed not to be the case, Lehner called all-in from the big blind following a pot-sized open raise by Haxton.

Stefan Lehner: 8763
Isaac Haxton: AKJ8

"Oh wow, you have an eight also. Just keep it high, Maria," Arieh told the dealer as he was sweating the WSOP Paradise Parlay for the official eight-handed final table.

The board ran out AKQ9Q and Arieh as well as Haxton locked up the $25,000 bonus, while Lehner was eliminated in 9th place for $26,400.

There is now a short break ahead of the start of the official final table.

Jim Collopy raised to 65,000 in the cutoff and action folded to Jeffrey Trudeau in the small blind. Trudeau waited for some time while Isaac Haxton was waiting to make a decision at the other table. After a stalemate, another player at each table called the clock simultaneously.

Trudeau moved all in for 83,000 and action folded back to Collopy who called.

Yockey Continues to Apply Pressure

Nível 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

On the bubble of the unofficial final table, Bryce Yockey has ramped up the aggression and his stack was boosted further. The latest hand saw him open to 85,000 into the big blind of Jeffrey Trudeau, who folded after Jim Collopy called on the button.

The J105 flop was checked before Yockey led the K turn for 75,000, Collopy called. That brought them to the 5 river on which Yockey fired another 300,000. Collopy went into the tank and eventually folded.
