Big Slick Doesn't Do the Trick for Hellmuth

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened for 2,000 from middle position only to have Nam Le three-bet all in for 15,300 from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and then Hellmuth made a quick call.

Hellmuth: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Le: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Hellmuth was drawing to suited overs, but he came up empty on the {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop. The {Q-Spades} turn was a good card for Hellmuth as it gave him both a flush and Broadway draw, but he bricked the river when the {9-Diamonds} peeled off. Ship the double to Le.

One for Gross

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

With around 10,000 in the pot and a board reading {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Jeff Gross checked from late position and six-time bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro bet 3,300 from the button. Gross made the call and then both players checked the {4-Hearts} river.

Lisandro flashed the {9-Clubs} indicating he had a pair of nines, but it was no good as Gross had a straight with the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Lyndaker Busts

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Richard Lyndaker
Richard Lyndaker

We arrived to the table just as Richard Lyndaker committed the last of his chips in pre flop from late position. His opponent made the call from the blinds and both players tabled their cards.

Lyndaker: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} to see Lyndaker’s opponent improve with the best hand to a full house resulting in him hitting the rail.

Phil Wins Battle of the Triple H's

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened to 2,000 from early position and both Laurence Hall and Dennis Huntly called from the cutoff and button.

Hall bet out 3,600 on the {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop with Huntly folding and Hellmuth calling. The turn of the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked as the {J-Diamonds} landed on the river and Hellmuth led out for 2,700.

Hall snap-called and then mucked once he saw Hellmuth's {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for a rivered top pair.

Chip Leader Pot for Zhou

Nível 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Ivan Zhou
Ivan Zhou

Sean Winter opened and got called by Suraj Dutt as well as Ivan Zhou in the big blind. Zhou bet the {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} flop for 1,500 and Winter folded, Dutt raisedto 4,000 and called the three-bet to 11,500 by Zhou. On the {Q-Spades} turn there were almost 30,000 in the pot and Zhou put his opponent all in for almost double the pot.

Dutt ended up hero-calling with pocket sixes but it was no good as Zhou had the {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. The {6-Spades} on the river just rubbed it in even more and Dutt was sent to the rail.
