Charania Doubles Through Higgs

Nível 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sam Higgs raised to 11,000 from the cutoff and then called when Mohsin Charania three-bet all in for 29,500 from the button.

Higgs: {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Charania: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Charania got it in good and he paired his ace on the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop. The {Q-Hearts} turn gave Higgs a chance to win, but that didn't happen as the {2-Diamonds} blanked on the river.

Brandon Shack-Harris Eliminated; George Danzer Will Win WSOP Player of the Year

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
George Danzer, 2014 WSOP Player of the Year
George Danzer, 2014 WSOP Player of the Year

On the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, Brandon Shack-Harris and Sean Winter got all the money in. Shack-Harris had flopped the best of it with the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for trip queens, and Winter had the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. The turn was the {9-Clubs} to keep Shack-Harris in front, and it was at this point that Winter grabbed his two aces and began to turn them over anticipating the loss. But then, the {A-Spades} spiked on the river and gave Winter a winning full house. He turned his aces back over, and Shack-Harris was off to the exit.

With that elimination, Shack-Harris has officially fallen short in his quest for 2014 World Series of Poker Player of the Year. George Danzer will win the title with 923.5 points to Shack-Harris' 829.2. Both put on an absolutely amazing run at the title that involved three lead changes here at the WSOP Asia-Pacific alone. Danzer won three gold bracelets this year — two in Las Vegas and one in Melbourne — so Shack-Harris definitely had a tough hill to climb, but his performances this year shouldn't be forgotten.

With the victory, Danzer will forever be placed in poker history as the 2014 WSOP Player of the Year. He will earn an entry to the 2015 WSOP Main Event worth $10,000, but the title is priceless.

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Fabian Quoss
Fabian Quoss

David "MissOracle" Yan opened for 7,000 from the cutoff and was met by an all-in three-bet to 51,900 from Fabian Quoss in the big blind. Yan opted to make the call and he discovered he was in a dominating spot.

Yan: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Quoss: {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Quoss needed some help, but he'd receive none as the board ran out a dry {8-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}.

Aces for Steicke

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, David Steicke bet 20,000, and Brian Roberts made the call to see the {J-Clubs} land on the turn. Steicke and Roberts both checked, and then the {8-Diamonds} landed on the river. Steicke bet 25,000, and Roberts called.

Steicke showed the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for two pair, aces and eights, and Roberts mucked.

Pritchard Doubles Through Neilson

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Daniel Neilson opened for 6,500 from middle position only to have Jason Pritchard three-bet jam for 29,900 from the small blind. Neilson made the call and the cards were turned up.

Neilson: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Pritchard: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Pritchard was well out in front thanks to his kicker, and he took down the pot after the board ran out a safe {6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.
