Ham had pocket tens and was well ahead. The board ran out 7♥8♣9♣4♣3♦. The turn brought Abder a set of fours to bring him ahead. Ham was eliminated from the tournament. He took it well, calmly walking away. He's among dozens of players to bust in the first blind level of the day.
Payouts for the SISMIX Main Event have now been announced. Early bustouts will recieve 11,000 Dirham (€1,012 euro). The eventual winner is set to walk away with 1,000,000 Dirham (€92,000).
Jihad Louali raised from the button and was called by Cecile Ticherfatine in the small blind. The big blind also came along and three players went to the flop.
The flop came Q♣7♦10♥ and action checked to Louali, who bet out 16,000. Ticherfatine made the call.
The turn came the 10♥. Ticherfatine checked and Louali bet 28,000. Louali responded with a reraise to 300,000 and Louali made the call.
The river was the 8♥ and Ticherfatine led out for 75,000. Louali made the call and flipped over Q♥J♥ for the winning hand. He scooped a big pot early on in Day 2.
The Winamax SISMIX poker festival continues at the Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort. Day 2 of the €500 (5,500 Dirham) Main Event is set to take place at 12:00 p.m. local time.
A total of 1,900 entries were made across the four starting flights, making for a prize pool of 10,450,000 dirham, around €952,158 euros. Of those entrants, 319 players have made it through to Day 2 and are now in the money.
There are several players who have over one million chips and French player Mathieu Papineau leads the pack with 1,202,500 chips. Jeremy Palvini has 1,130,000, and Javier Tsunamy is sitting on exactly one million.
Blind levels today are running for 35-minutes as action continues towards the final table and deeper into the money. Payouts will be announced today.
