Welcome to Day 1c/d of the Winamax SISMIX festival Main Event

The Winamax SISMIX poker festival continues at the Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort. Day 1c of the €500 (5,500 Dirham) Main Event, the third of four starting flights, is set to take place at 12:00 local time. This will be followed by Day 1d, the final flight, which kicks off at 7 p.m.

Players in Day 1c will start with a stack of 50,000 chips and blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Blind levels run for 30 minutes with a break every four levels. Day 1d is the turbo flight with 15-minute blind levels.

Once again, players will have the option to re-enter each flight once. Those who make it through to Day 2 will already be in the money. And as the trademark of SISMIX events, the tournament will run six-handed, giving players plenty of chance to jazz it up with fancy play.

So far, 1,036 entries have been made and 174 players have already made the money. Day 1a concluded with Javier Tsunamy taking the lead with one million chips. He was outdone on Day 1b by Jeremy Palvini, who finished with 1,130,000 chips.

On the entertainment side of things, SISMIX never fails to amaze. Today will include a pool party with Stone Van Brooken and a Blind Test. Tonight’s Theatro club night will see DJs Nicolas Monier, Psyone and A-B Boy bringing the vibes to the dancefloor.

Nakache Shoves River and Takes Down Large Pot

Action was on the flop on a board of 5♥J♣9♥ and Cezar Mihau Brad bet out for 6,000. Both Elie Nakache and Patrick Vigouret made the call.

The turn was the Q♥ and play checked to Nakache, who bet 8,000. Vigouret called and Brad folded. The river was the 4♣. Vigouret checked and Nakache moved all in for 52,000.

Vigouret asked for the count and then went into the tank, staring across at his opponent, then leaning back in his chair, deliberating over a decision that could cost him his tournament life. Eventually, he made the fold and Nakache smiled and scooped a significant sized pot.

Najchaus Chipping Up Early

In one hand, a player who goes by the alias Lezob_6 raised to 600 and picked up a call before Najchaus reraised to 2,800 from the button. Lezob_6 folded and another opponent made the call.

The flop came 8♦Q♠10♣ and Najchaus made a continuation bet. Her opponent folded and she took the chips to add to her stack.

The turn was the Q♦. Hufschmitt smiled and looked across the table. After a long deliberation, Hufschmitt checked and Veloson pushed all in. Hufschmitt was forced to make the fold and accept a huge hit to his stack.

Berrak Picks Off Sfez's Three Barrel Bluff to Gain Huge Stack

Mohamed El Berrak raised and Lucas Sfez reraised to 9,500. Berrak called and two players went to the flop.

The flop came Q♥4♥Q♦. Berrak checked and Sfez bet out for 10,000, which Berrak called.

The turn was the K♥. Berrak checked for a second time and Sfez bet out 20,500, which Berrak called. By this point, the pot was seriously inflated and the winner was already set to increase their stack by a significant amount.

The river came the 3♣. Berrak checked again and Sfez moved all in. Berrak quickly made the call for the rest of his stack, 94,400 chips.

Berrak flipped over J♥9♥ for a turned flush. Sfez showed A♣7♠. He'd been running a bluff over the course of three streets.

Unfortunately for him, the bluff was mistimed and Berrak clearly wasn't folding. He now moves up to around 250,000 chips, making him one of the chip leaders as Day 1c progresses.

The Party Never Stops At SISMIX

Half poker event, half music festival, the party never stops at Winamax SISMIX. Here's a look at what's been happening off the felt last night and during today's pool party.

The Moracaine Soiree included a buffet of couscous, chicken and merguez sausages served with sweet mint tea. Dancers and fire-spinners provided the entertainment as the sun dawned on the Kingdom.

Later on, players and staff headed over to the Theatro for their nightly dose of rave music, dancing, and endless supplies of vodka.

And this afternoon's pool party was brought to life by a parade of colourful characters.

Azulay Turns Straight and Gets Paid by Haiche

Azulay showed J♦10♣ for a turned straight. Haiche mucked his hand and muttered in dismay as Azulay scooped a pot that brought his stack up to around 280,000 chips.

Vayssieres Scoops Inflated Pot Without Needing to Showdown

Bubble Doubles; Oubja and Guizani Survive

It was a long bubble. There were several all in and calls with short stacks finding their luck and doubling up to remain in the game.

In one such hand, Badr Oubja put the rest of his stack in the middle from the small blind, 19,500 chips. Mehdi Chaoui called in the big blind and players flipped their cards.

Oubja had woken up with pocket kings in the perfect moment for him. The rest of the room screamed out for sixes to come. The board ran out 9♦2♦6♠7♥5♦. Oubja's kings held and he doubled up.

The next hand, over on another table, Action was on the flop on a board of 9♦7♣7♠. Fathi Guizani moved all in with a short stack and Amer Benmoumen called for a few chips more.

Guizani showed K♠9♣ for a pair of nines. Benmoumen showed 10♥6♦ for a backdoor straight draw.

The turn came the 2♥ and the river was the 6♠. Benmoumen paired up with his sixes, but Guizani held to double up.
